Presidente Bernardes Refinery, Petrobras Achieves New Record Diesel S-10 Production, Low Sulfur Fuel Gains More Space in the Brazilian Market!
New monthly record for Diesel S-10 production! Petrobras announced last Wednesday (10/05) that the Presidente Bernardes Refinery (RPBC), its unit located in Cubatão (SP), closed September with 1.82 million barrels (bbl) of Diesel S-10 produced.
According to Petrobras, the previous production record for this derivative at the refinery had been 1.72 million bbl in February of this year.
The national market has been increasing the demand for the derivative, which, due to its low sulfur content, brings better environmental results.

Gasoline Price Reaches Lowest Value at the Pump Since February 2021, After Law Approved Considering Fuel, Electricity, Communications, and Transport Essential Items
Exclusive research conducted by ValeCard, a company specialized in fleet management solutions, confirms that fuel prices at gas stations continue to fall. In September analysis, gasoline prices decreased by 8.35% compared to August, with an average price of R$ 5.193 per liter at the pump.
The drop in gasoline prices reflects the limitation of the Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) adopted by states after the approval in June of the law that established a ceiling for the tax on items such as diesel, gasoline, electricity, communications, and public transport — now also considered essential items of consumption.
Another factor contributing to the drop in gasoline prices has been Petrobras’s successive cuts. On September 1st, Petrobras announced an average reduction of 7% in the price of the gasoline sold to distributors, marking the fourth cut since mid-July.
