At The Senna Tower Construction Site, The Italian Machine Weighing 87 Tons With The Largest Continuous Screw In Brazil Executes Continuous Screw Piles And Accelerates Deep Foundation.
The atmosphere may be festive on the streets, but at the construction site, it’s the opposite. While many people sleep after the parade, engineers, operators, and the team are there, monitoring every maneuver of the truck bringing the new machine. The objective is simple yet heavy at the same time: to put this giant to drill piles of up to 40 meters deep into the rock, ensuring that the foundation of the Senna Tower remains firm, within the safety and performance standards required for a building of this size.
Carnival Saturday, 6:30 a.m.: The Different Routine of Senna Tower
The video begins with the presenter of the Fala JC channel saying good morning directly from the CAT construction site, where the foundation of the Senna Tower in Balneário Camboriú, SC, is being executed. It’s not just any day. It’s Carnival Saturday, still dark for many, but there the activity is intense.

The lack of welders, electricians, and operators becomes a structural threat in 2025, with the construction industry and manufacturing already suffering from delays, cost pressures, and labor shortages in Brazil.

Brazil and Paraguay are just 46 meters away from a historic union on the bioceanic bridge that promises to revolutionize trade between the Atlantic and the Pacific.

With 55 km over the sea, a cost of US$ 20 billion, and enough steel to build 60 Eiffel Towers, China’s largest project has connected Hong Kong, Zhuhai, and Macau in a colossal bridge that defies the logic of engineering.

A trick with joint compound transforms a Styrofoam ceiling into a plaster-like ceiling: leveled panels, wires and mesh at the joints, sand, paint, and change the environment while spending little today.
While the rest of the city slows down, the construction site goes in the opposite direction. An engineer is called early, a flatbed truck enters slowly, traffic is closed, and the ground shakes with the weight of the machine.
The new drill arrives next to the EK300 from CZM, which has been executing continuous screw piles since the end of last year.
The difference is that now the pace will change. Instead of just one drill, there will be two machines working at the same time on the foundation of the Senna Tower, which increases drilling capacity and brings more operational flexibility to the project schedule.
The Giant Italian Machine Weighing 87 Tons That Came To Reinforce The Foundation

The star of the day is an Italian machine from MT, model CFA in the range of 36 meters of tower. On the flatbed, it already impresses.
Dismantled, it easily exceeds 20 meters in length, even without the complete tower. Assembled, the set exceeds 110 tons, including tower, blades, and accessories.
To get to the Senna Tower construction site, this equipment took a long journey. It was assembled in Italy, shipped by boat, unloaded at the port of Paranaguá, and from there, it was trucked to the site.
The transport requires meticulous planning: several trucks, technical team monitoring, care with trees, wiring, curves, and access points in the city.
Upon arrival, the scene is tense and beautiful at the same time. The team spreads plywood to protect the asphalt, controls every movement, closes traffic, and guides drivers and operators.
A machine of this size allows no mistakes. Any oversight can mean damage to the equipment, surrounding environment, or the Senna Tower site itself.
Senna Tower With Two Continuous Screws: Why This Matters For The Foundation
Before the new Italian machine, the foundation of the Senna Tower was already being executed with an EK300 drill from CZM, manufactured in Brazil and based on American technology. It is responsible for the continuous screw piles being drilled since last year.
With the arrival of the new MT CFA, the game is elevated. Now, two machines will drill piles at the same time, which brings some clear advantages for the foundation of Senna Tower:
- more active drilling fronts in the same period
- greater daily capacity for executing piles
- ability to alternate diameters, depths, or sectors according to the project plan
- more flexibility to deal with potential maintenance stops on one of the machines
In practice, this means that the continuous screw piles of up to 40 meters deep, with complete reinforcement to the rock, can be executed more smoothly.
It is the structural base of the Senna Tower being built with equipment redundancy and production reinforcement, without compromising control and safety.
How The Largest Continuous Screw In Brazil Works In Practice
The continuous screw pile technology, or CFA, has some features that help to understand why a machine of this size is needed for the foundation of the Senna Tower in Balneário Camboriú, SC.
The tower of the drill carries a continuous screw that descends while rotating down to the planned depth. As the screw descends, it excavates the soil. When it rises, concrete is pumped through the shaft, filling the hole continuously. Then, the metal reinforcement is introduced, which is completely immersed in concrete.
In the case of the Senna Tower project, the piles go up to 40 meters deep, reaching the rock, and are 100 percent reinforced, precisely to ensure safe load transfer from the upper structure to the subsoil.
The new Italian machine has a stronger engine, more hydraulic pumps, and a structure designed to work with this type of effort at depth.
It is not there to appear in photos; it is there to tackle difficult soil, great depths, and repetitive cycles with maximum reliability.
Heavy Logistics And Safety First At The Construction Site
One of the most delicate scenes during the machine’s arrival is the maneuver to enter through the construction site gate. The truck needs to align, turn, and avoid hitting trees, wires, and surrounding structures. The support team closely monitors every step.
On the ground, everything shakes with the 87 tons descending from the flatbed. Therefore, the process is slow, with constant communication between the operator, ground personnel, and the technical supervisor. Traffic has been closed so no one approaches without control.
The priority is to ensure that the machine enters intact, without risk to pedestrians, vehicles, or the Senna Tower site itself.
After unloading, the drill seems almost small within the property, due to the size of the construction area. But this “visual miniaturization” is misleading.
When the tower is mounted with its 36 meters and the screw is driving into the ground, the real scale of this machine will appear, especially when seen alongside the first drill already drilling for the Senna Tower.
The Next Chapter In The Foundation Of Senna Tower
With the machine delivered to the site, the next step is to assemble it completely within the property. Tower, blades, accessories, and hydraulic systems are adjusted until everything is in working configuration. The expectation is that by the following week the new drill will be drilling piles next to the EK300.
From then on, it’s heavy foundation routine. Pile after pile, the base of the Senna Tower will be solidifying, always with concrete pumped to the rock, reinforcement positioned correctly, and control of each executed section.
Those following the Fala JC channel have already seen in other videos details of the drilling, concreting, and the rebar process for these deep piles.
Behind this unusual Carnival Saturday, what appears is a construction pattern that does not stop. While some rest, the Senna Tower gains foundation, equipment, and structure to safely come to life, supported by heavy drilling technology and a team that wakes up early to make the building happen.
And you, what did you think of the arrival of this Italian giant at the Senna Tower construction site on Carnival Saturday: is it more impressive, the size of the machine, or the routine of those behind this deep foundation?

CARAMBA!!!!!! GIGANTE !!!!!
