Candidates must have graduated no more than three years ago in the fields of Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics, and Computer Science. As usual, Schlumberger encourages the participation of female candidates to promote gender equality within the company.

Our expectation is to attract at least 70% female candidates,” explained Thiago Laini, Recruitment and University Relations Manager at Schlumberger.
Women Engineers in Charge
Marina Balestrassi well represents the profile of an engineer in the company. In 2019, she went through the selection process and interned until she graduated from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI) and began working as a trainee in 2021.
Today, at 25, she holds the position of wireline supervisor, leading teams with operators and riggers who perform services on various platforms. “I always wanted to work hands-on, I didn’t want to be stuck in an office, and that was what captivated me about the Schlumberger Trainee Program. As a woman, I am very happy and feel very proud, powerful even, to hold a position that requires so much responsibility,” she commented.
For Marina, the career plan offered by Schlumberger is very well constructed, which is an advantage for those who wish to work in the field while also projecting a future that isn’t offshore. Upon completing the initial training program, which lasts about three years, engineers can occupy managerial, research, operational positions, among others outside of the platforms.
In addition to the career plan, Marina highlights working abroad as an
additional opportunity for development and the support the company offers for couples,
called dual career, where both careers are seriously considered. “This is
interesting for us who have a life outside the norm,” emphasized the engineer.
ESG in the Resume
Based on a sustainability policy aimed at achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050, through the Net Zero program, SLB aims to attract recent graduates aligned with the company’s values and missions, focusing on the UN-defined Sustainable Development Goals and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) actions.
