Arauco and Senai Are Offering 150 Spots in Free Courses to Qualify the Local Workforce for the Works of the New Factory of the Chilean Company, Which Should Generate 12 Thousand Jobs and Start Operations in 2028.
On last Friday, July 5, Senai took a significant step towards professional qualification in Mato Grosso do Sul by inaugurating four educational containers in Inocência. With the goal of meeting the growing industrial demand of the municipality, 150 spots in free courses will be offered, resulting from a partnership with Arauco and the local municipality. This movement aims to prepare the workforce for the initial phase of the works of the new Arauco factory, one of the largest industrial initiatives in the region.
Professional Qualification to Work on the Works of the Arauco Factory
Rodolpho Caesar Mangialardo, the regional director of Senai, emphasized the importance of collaboration for the city’s progress.
“Industry brings a great positive revolution to the city. Senai can and will assist at all stages of installation. We are always open to setting up structures,” said Mangialardo.

He highlighted that, despite the lack of a permanent physical structure in Inocência, the use of containers allows for high-quality training, comparable to fixed units.
The free courses initially offered aim to meet the preparation phase of the area, especially land clearing, necessary for the construction of the factory of Arauco.
With a projected investment of R$ 15 billion in the State, the expectation is that the initiative will generate approximately 12 thousand job openings.
The Sucuriú Project complex, which is expected to start operations in 2028, will be a landmark in the industrialization of Mato Grosso do Sul.
The Importance of the Arauco Factory for Brazil
Arauco, one of the largest global industrial conglomerates in the sectors of pulp, wood products, forest reserves, and bioenergy, reinforced its commitment to local qualification.
Márcio Roberto Couto, coordinator of Institutional Relations and ESG at Arauco, highlighted the importance of skilled labor.
“Our goal is for the local community to be an effective part of the Project, and it is essential that the population has the means to prepare for these opportunities,” said Couto.
The mayor of Inocência, Antonio Angelo Garcia dos Santos, also celebrated the partnership, emphasizing its relevance for the professional development of the city’s youth.
“It is very important for Senai to come here and bring teachings for our young people. For the population to participate in this major investment, we need to acquire knowledge,” said the mayor.
What Free Courses Are Available at Senai?
Classes for the first groups, including courses for traffic signaler and dump truck driver, began on July 1.
However, there are still open registrations for free courses in tractor operation, backhoe operation, and motor grader operation.
These free courses are essential for the land clearing phase of the project and to meet the companies outsourced by Arauco.

Tractor Operator
- Hours: from 1 PM to 5 PM;
- Start of classes: 07/29/2024;
- Documents: CPF, RG, Proof of Residence, Proof of Education (Incomplete Elementary Education), CNH B.
Backhoe Operator
- Hours: from 7 PM to 10:10 PM;
- Start of classes: 07/29/2024;
- Documents: CPF, RG, Proof of Residence, Proof of Education (Incomplete Elementary Education), CNH B.
Motor Grader Operator
- Hours: from 7 PM to 10:10 PM;
- Start of classes: 07/12/2024;
- Documents: CPF, RG, Proof of Residence, Proof of Education (Incomplete Elementary Education), CNH B.
