On the morning of last Friday, (07/05), Bravo Motor Company Brasil Energy made an announcement that promises to revolutionize the Brazilian industrial landscape and strengthen the country’s position in the renewable energy market. During the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Government of the State of Bahia, through the Secretariat of Economic Development (SDE), the installation of the first lithium factory in Latin America was confirmed. The new plant will be built in the municipality of São Sebastião do Passé, representing an estimated investment of R$ 1.27 billion and with an expectation of generating 10 thousand jobs.
The Factory Will Be Installed Aiming at the Demand for Batteries for Electric Cars
Bravo Motor Company Brasil Energy’s decision to establish its factory in Bahia aims to meet the growing demand for lithium-ion batteries, essential for electric accumulators and direct current conversion systems.
With a projected installed production capacity of 2 Gigawatt-hours per year, the plant not only reinforces national infrastructure in the clean energy sector but also promotes a significant economic impact in the region.
