SENAI and SESI in Partnership with CNI Aims to Provide Vocational Education to 800,000 Bolsa Família Youth Aged 18 to 29 Over the Next Four Years
SENAI and SESI will train applicants from the Unified Registry and Bolsa Família. The program aims to train 800,000 Bolsa Família youth and Unified Registry participants and was signed on Wednesday, December 11, in Brasília, during the CNI’s tribute to the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, with the Order of Industrial Merit. ATTENTION, check the professions with the most job openings until 2023, according to SENAI.
R$ 2.3 billion will be invested with the goal of training these 800,000 Bolsa Família youth over the next three years, stated the Ministry of Citizenship and the National Confederation of Industry (CNI).

For Jair Bolsonaro, education is essential for the country’s growth. “Either we truly change education, or our future will also be compromised. I thank CNI for helping us in training a suitable workforce,” highlighted the president.
In July of this year, the formalization between the citizenship and the Industry System took place, validating the technical cooperation agreement between the Minister of Citizenship, Osmar Terra, and the President of CNI, Robson de Andrade.
The Ministry of Citizenship is committed to promoting the autonomy of individuals registered in the Unified Registry. In this sense, Minister Osmar Terra also invited entrepreneurs to reserve spots for the youth served by this cooperation in their companies.
“To leave no one behind, we need this partnership, and we want all of you, in your companies, to reserve a minimum quota for Bolsa Família youth. We have 4.6 million youth who neither work nor study, aged 18 to 29, in Bolsa Família. This is a tragedy for our country,” said the minister.
The work plan provides for professional qualification, reinforcement courses in Portuguese and mathematics, and the referral of Bolsa Família youth by the Ministry of Citizenship to the services of the S System administered by CNI, such as the Social Service of Industry (Sesi) and the National Service for Industrial Training (Senai).
“We have the largest private complex for vocational education. There are over two million enrollments in Brazil, we have nearly a thousand schools, two boats in the Amazon region providing vocational training, and almost 30,000 employees,” said the president of CNI.
Course Distribution
The courses will be available in all states of Brazil, with a 100-hour workload for reinforcement in Portuguese and mathematics integrated with professional qualification, averaging 200 hours and lasting 6 months.
The program prioritizes training Bolsa Família youth who are not enrolled in vocational education institutions or in the formal labor market.
