Initiative in Soledade Highlights Advances in Youth Training, Combining Practice, Technology, and Educational Support to Expand Opportunities and Strengthen Local Development

The Constructor Consortium Via Sul (CCVS), formed by Odebrecht Engineering & Construction and PowerChina, has just made it to the list of nationally recognized initiatives for social impact. The Young Apprentice Project, developed in Soledade (RS), received the Supera Award in the Social Project category, granted by the utility company Motiva. The recognition highlights actions that expand inclusion, reduce inequalities, and strengthen sustainable development practices in the territory where they are applied.

Technical Training and Partnership with SENAI

In the municipality, the program is pioneering and offers technical training for 50 local youth, in partnership with the City Hall and the National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI). Over 12 months, participants take the Logistics Process Operator course with the right to a scholarship, transportation, and continuous school monitoring, all within a modern methodology fully aligned with current market demands.

In addition to the technical part, the project includes complementary content, such as the QualificaAI course, which introduces notions of artificial intelligence, expanding students’ digital foundation and preparing them for new professional requirements. The combination of theory, practice, and technology has been identified by the organizers as the great differentiator of the initiative.

Inclusion, Employability, and Impact on the Community

The expected impacts go beyond training. The program directly addresses social inclusion and strengthens local employability, providing real opportunities for youth seeking their first job. The focus is on developing technical and behavioral skills that enhance autonomy, confidence, and the capacity of these future professionals. For the municipality, the initiative stimulates socioeconomic development and generates positive reflections throughout the community.

Repercussions Among Authorities and Institutions

For Eduardo Rotava, Secretary of Economic Development, Innovation, and Tourism in Soledade, the award reaffirms that the municipality is on the right track. “When we unite public power, Odebrecht, SENAI, and the community, we can prepare a new generation. Soledade grows when its youth grow, and this award shows that investing in people is always worthwhile,” he emphasized.

The Operations Manager of SENAI in Passo Fundo, Juliano Pereira, also celebrated the recognition. According to him, the result is the fruit of a collaborative effort. “It’s a huge pride to see this project being valued. The award reinforces the importance of technical education for the future of the region,” he stated.

The Coordinator of Communication and Social Responsibility at CCVS, Joyce Melo, emphasized that the initiative goes far beyond fulfilling a legal requirement. “Our commitment is to the future. When we provide real training opportunities, we contribute to transforming lives and strengthening the community where we operate,” she explained.

The Youth Experience and the Conclusion of the First Class

Among the participating youth, the feeling is of concrete change. Emily Borba, a student from the first class, states that the program has been essential for her personal and professional growth. “With the theoretical and practical experiences, I feel I will be prepared to enter the market with important tools to stand out,” she shared.

Emily also highlighted the bonds created with colleagues and teachers, which make the journey richer and full of memories. “It’s been a very rewarding experience. I hope the program continues to change lives and open paths for other youth.”

The first class is expected to complete their activities in August 2026, but preliminary results already indicate significant advances in sociability, engagement, and technical qualifications. For the consortium and for Soledade, the award represents only the beginning of a trajectory that promises to transform even more youth in the coming years.
