SalCine Project Opens Applications Until August 21 for Audiovisual Training with In-Person Classes and Transportation Allowance
The Senai Cimatec, in partnership with the Salvador city hall, announced the opening of 80 spots for free courses in Camera Assistance, Editing, Sound Mixing, and Machinery and Electrical. The opportunities are part of the SalCine project – Cycle II, which aims to train professionals to work in different areas of the audiovisual sector.
Classes begin on September 15, will be held in person three times a week, in the evening, and also on Saturdays, in the morning and/or afternoon. The courses are completely free and include transportation allowance for participants.
Who Can Participate and How to Enroll
To apply, you must be 18 years or older by the enrollment date, have completed elementary education, reside in Salvador, and prove technical knowledge in the chosen area.

Enrollment is open until August 21 and must be done online. The selection process will consider the candidate’s proven experience, aiming to direct spots to those who are already working or wish to professionally enter the audiovisual sector.
Locations and Structure of the Courses
The free courses in Camera Assistance, Editing, Sound Mixing, and Machinery and Electrical will be held at three training centers:
- Senai Cimatec Digital and Creative – Praça da Sé, Museu da Energia, Historic Center
- Senai Cimatec – Avenida Orlando Gomes, Piatã
- Igluloc – Rua Conselheiro Pedro Luiz, Rio Vermelho
The workload and content vary according to the chosen specialty, covering stages of pre-production, production, post-production, and film distribution.
Impact and Opportunities in the Audiovisual Sector
According to the project organizers, SalCine promotes culture, networking, and the creation of new businesses, in addition to attracting players from the creative industry to Salvador. The expectation is that graduates will be able to integrate into film, TV, advertising, and cultural event productions.
This initiative also strengthens the local market by qualifying the workforce and expanding the supply of specialized services in the capital of Bahia, which is consolidating as a regional hub in audiovisual.
