The National Service for Industrial Training of the Federal District (Senai-DF) has announced the opening of registrations for the free technical course in refrigeration and air conditioning, in a blended format. With 75 free spots provided by the Senai Program for Regulatory Gratification, the qualification course is aimed at low-income individuals. Classes will start in March 2025.

Free Technical Course Format and Workload

With a workload of 1,200 hours and a duration of approximately two years, the qualification course combines 80% distance learning and 20% in-person classes at Senai Taguatinga, in the evening. The training prepares students to design and implement installation projects for refrigeration and air conditioning systems, ensuring their functionality. At the end, those who pass the free course receive a nationally recognized technician diploma.

Requirements and Spot Reservation

To enroll in the free technical course, you must be at least 16 years old by the time of registration, which will take place at the end of February, in addition to having completed or being enrolled in at least the 2nd year of high school. Up to 10% of the spots are reserved for individuals with disabilities, who must inform this condition at the time of registration. If these spots are not filled, they may be allocated to other candidates.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted through an objective test with 40 multiple-choice questions covering Portuguese Language, Mathematics, and Basic Computer Science. The test will be held at Senai Taguatinga on February 15, at 9 a.m. Candidates for the qualification must bring an official identification document and arrive at least 30 minutes early.

Calendar and Registrations

Registrations: from January 15 to February 7
Test: February 15, at 9 a.m.
Release of preliminary answer key: February 17, at 4 p.m.
Final answer key: February 21, at 4 p.m.
Final result and call for registration: February 26.

The selected candidates must go to Senai Taguatinga within two business days, carrying documents such as ID, CPF, proof of residence, and education. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
