1,5 Thousand Job Openings from Various Sectors Will Be Offered on Labor Day, May 1st, in Volta Redonda
With the aim of stimulating career development, Volta Redonda will host the first Job Fair, with at least 1,5 thousand positions offered to the public. The event will take place on May 1st, Labor Day, from 8 AM to 5 PM, at Ilha São João. More than 15 companies will participate in the fair to identify professional profiles that fit the characteristics of each segment. Candidates will undergo a screening process and then be directed to one of the lectures or workshops offered.
The third stage is directing candidates to the companies’ stands that are hiring, which will then decide how the next process will proceed.

The event will take place on May 1st, from 8 AM to 5 PM, at Ilha São João in Volta Redonda. A Work Card will also be issued at the event location. Interested individuals should bring copies of their ID, CPF, and an updated resume.
For this major event, the entire city hall team will be mobilized on the day to assist with various issues. The Labor Agency will schedule appointments for issuing Work Cards. The Municipal Guard will be on site at Ilha São João controlling traffic in the area. Additionally, the city hall will set up a reception area for people who do not fit any of the positions offered at the fair. This person will learn about the courses and training already offered by the government and will also be registered.
Mayor Samuca Silva explained that this will be a different celebration of Labor Day and will be a great opportunity for workers seeking reemployment, young apprentices, or even those looking for their first job. “Every day we work with the goal of improving the lives of people in our city! For many years, I have been monitoring the economic situation in Volta Redonda and saw that our city was not attracting new companies or opportunities. Last year we were the city of employment and we want to maintain that mark. We will promote this great event with a different celebration. Don’t miss this opportunity,” emphasized Samuca.
