Siemens, a purpose-driven technology leader, participates in the UTCAL Summit 2023, taking place at Windsor Barra Hotel in Rio de Janeiro from March 28 to 31, 2023. The company will showcase solutions for telecommunications systems in the electric sector at its booth. There will also be an inauguration of the largest photovoltaic plant in the state of Amazonas by one of its companies.

Additionally, the company’s Telecommunications Specialist, Alessandro Bonequini, will give a presentation titled Line Differential Teleprotection Schemes, Transfer-Trip, and GOOSE Message Exchange between Substations in the Packet World (MPLS-TP).

The specialist will explain that energy transmission companies are being instructed to replace their SDH TDM technology multiplexing networks with packet technology networks, PTN (Packet Transport Networks), which can use MPLS-TP as a transport communication protocol.
