Commanded by Stellantis, Peugeot is advancing with electrification in Brazil and has already announced the arrival of two mysterious models for next year, in addition to plug-in hybrid models
Peugeot was present at the Electric Experience, an event aimed at promoting the use of electric cars. Shortly after the launch of the Peugeot e-Expert, an electric van focused on urban deliveries, the Stellantis brand announced some details of its new positioning. Since the beginning of this year, with the consolidation of Stellantis, Peugeot has undergone a transformation phase, aiming for a new positioning for electrification in Brazil, allowing a new recovery of sales growth to begin, doubling its market share in less than a year.

Despite the great results, Peugeot aims to go even further, aiming to double its market share once more in the next 2 or 3 years. To achieve this, it will invest in diversifying its vehicle lineup and expanding its presence in sectors where it considers itself most competitive.
The Head of Peugeot in South America, Felipe Daemon, emphasized the commitment to renewing the lineup and even ensured that the Stellantis brand is in a new phase, where the country is more integrated into its global strategy. Regarding the expansion of the electric vehicle portfolio, which already includes the Peugeot e-Expert and Peugeot e-208 GT models, the executive stated that the brand will follow the global trend and continue its electrification in Brazil. There are even two electric car launches scheduled for next year.

Possible Models That May Arrive in the Brazilian Automotive Market Alongside Peugeot
The upcoming electric car launches have not been revealed; however, if the current Peugeot portfolio is taken into account, the e-2008, a fully electric version of the compact SUV Peugeot 2008, which shares the same setup as the 208 e-GT and a range of up to 330 km on a single charge, would be the first.
Additionally, there remains a choice between two commercial electric vehicles, the Peugeot e-Rifter, a passenger version with a capacity for 7 people, with a range of 280 km on a single charge and a power of 136 horsepower, and the Peugeot e-Partner, an electric model of the compact van that has a power of 122 horsepower.
In Addition to Electric Cars, Peugeot Invests in Plug-In Hybrid Models
Still within the electrification in the country, there are two attractive options for plug-in hybrid cars, such as the new generation Peugeot 308 PHEV, which has already been registered in the country and stands out for its engine of 225 horsepower and a torque of 36.7 kgfm, with a possibility of achieving a range of up to 60 km in fully electric mode.
Another potential addition to the Stellantis brand’s hybrid plug-in portfolio is the Peugeot 3008 PHEV, which in the European vehicle market is offered with two engine options, one with 300 horsepower and another with 225 and low consumption.
