International House Tampere is assessing technology professionals and startups to compete for an immersive experience from September 12 to 16, 2023, in the vibrant city of technology and startups: Tampere, in southern Finland. The city is among the most popular in the country, which has been considered the happiest in the world for the sixth consecutive time, according to the 2023 World Happiness Report.

The 5-day immersion program Experience Tampere will select 12 people: six startup founders and six technology professionals.

The founder/co-founder of a growth-potential startup can register to discover the amazing opportunities in Tampere, connect with local entrepreneurs, and dive into Finnish culture.

During the trip, it will be possible to explore the Startup.Ampere ecosystem, visit co-working spaces, innovation centers, and accelerators, and feel the energy of Platform 6 Startup House. To participate, the company needs to have an international presence, expansion ambitions, and an interest in developing the startup in Tampere.

“This is a great opportunity to connect with local startups, network with founders, gain insights from industry experts, and create new possibilities for the startup,” highlights Alessandra Leone, Talent Manager at Work in Finland, the official Finnish site for international talent, which is part of Business Finland, an organization for innovation funding and promotion of trade, travel, and investments.

Technology Professionals

Technology professionals looking for a job opportunity abroad can also compete for a spot. The “Game On! Hack-a-job in Tampere” is a unique opportunity to showcase skills and knowledge by completing challenges to test skills for open job positions within 24 hours.

The participant can select the company and the challenge based on the position they wish to apply for. After completing the challenge, successful candidates will advance to an interview with the recruiting company. Six professionals will be selected to participate in this immersion.

Applications

Applications are free and can be made online by a startup founder or technology professional. The application deadline is August 15, 2023. The selected startups and professionals will be notified by August 25, 2023. The trip will take place from September 12 to 16, 2023.

Accommodation, workspace, the tour of Tampere, transportation to company visits, group lunch, dinner, and night sauna will be covered by the city of Tampere. Only flight costs to Tampere are not included in the experience.
