Aiming at the Brazilian market, Saab, the Swedish defense and security company, recently announced the installation of the first flight simulation equipment for the Gripen E fighter jet at the Anápolis Air Base in Goiás. Since it was chosen as the winner of the FAB tender in 2014, Saab has been closely collaborating with Brazilian companies to develop and produce the Gripen E in Brazil.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Aviator Gustavo Pascotto, commander of the 1st GDA, the advantages of the equipment are numerous for the project.
“From basic to advanced, flight simulation equipment is used in two stages, encompassing its entire spectrum of use,” he said.
