Fiat’s Full-Size SUV Gains Mild Hybrid Versions, More Technology, and Updated Look to Maintain Leadership in Brazil
The Fiat Fastback 2026, Fiat’s full-size SUV, has visual changes inspired by the brand’s new European standard, and the model now features a panoramic sunroof and mild hybrid engine options. Fiat bets on the Fastback as a key player in the coupe SUV segment, directly competing with models like Volkswagen Nivus and Hyundai Creta.
With prices ranging from R$ 119,990 to R$ 177,990, the Fastback 2026 offers five versions that combine technology, efficiency, and style. The novelty lies in the introduction of the mild hybrid T200 system and the aesthetic update of the front, which now follows the brand’s global identity. Production continues at the Betim Automotive Polo (MG), with tax incentives guaranteed by the Sustainable Car program.
Revamped Look Focused on Sophistication

The Fastback 2026 adopts elements from Fiat’s new global design, featuring a more vertical front grille, redesigned headlights, and a bumper with more prominent air intakes. The body cladding, previously exclusive to the Abarth version, is now available in other configurations, painted the same color as the body.

-
Around R$ 24,000: 4 used Ford SUVs with up to 253 hp, V6 engine, all-wheel drive, 7 airbags, panoramic sunroof, and a complete package that surprises with its price and performance in Brazil.

A brand new car starts at around R$ 75,000 in Brazil, but what stands out the most is seeing streets filled with SUVs and expensive sedans in a country where millions remain in debt.

For R$ 32,000, a brand new Hyundai car is a rival to the Kwid with a 1.2 engine producing 82 hp, 6 airbags as standard, multimedia with wireless Android Auto, up to 391 liters in the trunk, and a refreshed look for 2026 in India.
The 18-inch wheels with darkened finish and new interior trims elevate the finishing standard. One of the major highlights is the panoramic sunroof, standard on the Abarth and optional on the hybrid versions, bringing more sophistication and visual appeal to the model.
Versions, Engines, and Prices of Fiat’s Full-Size SUV
The Fastback 2026 comes with engine options of 1.0 turbo (130 hp) and 1.3 turbo (185 hp), in addition to the T200 hybrid versions with a 12-volt system. See the updated table:
| Version | Price | Engine |
|---|---|---|
| Audace 1.0 Turbo | R$ 119,990 | 1.0 Turbo Flex, 130 hp, CVT |
| Drive 1.0 Turbo | R$ 129,990 | 1.0 Turbo Flex, 130 hp, CVT |
| Impetus T200 Hybrid | R$ 149,990 | 1.0 Turbo with mild hybrid T200 system |

The new Drive version was created to fill the gap between the Audace and the hybrids. The Abarth version maintains the sporty feel, with a more powerful engine and exclusive styling.
Standard Features That Make a Difference
The Fastback 2026 stands out for its generous list of equipment across all versions. Check out the main items:
- Audace: 8.4″ multimedia with wireless Android Auto/CarPlay, 4 airbags, collision warning with automatic braking, LED headlights.
- Drive: adds rearview camera, multifunction steering wheel, and rear sensor.
- Impetus: sunroof (optional), blind-spot alert, 18″ wheels, premium seats.
- Limited Edition: induction charger, 10″ digital panel, lane-keeping assistant.
- Abarth: standard sunroof, electrically adjustable seats, complete ADAS safety package.
The ADAS system with autonomous braking, blind-spot alert, and lane assistant is a competitive differentiator.
Performance, Consumption, and Efficiency
Fiat retained both well-known mechanical sets. In 1.0 turbo versions with CVT, the focus is on fuel consumption. The Abarth delivers more sportiness.
- 1.0 Turbo Flex: up to 14.8 km/l on the highway
- T200 Hybrid: up to 16.5 km/l, with reduced emissions
- Abarth 1.3 Turbo: accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 s
Compliance with Proconve L8 allows the model to receive IPI exemption on hybrid versions.
Direct Competition and Differentiators of the Fastback
In the compact SUV segment, the Fastback faces the Volkswagen Nivus, Chevrolet Tracker, and Hyundai Creta. However, none of them combine as many technologies, coupe styling, and mild hybrid engines with such competitive prices.
The Nivus Highline costs R$ 135,990 and does not offer a sunroof or hybrid system. The Creta Ultimate reaches R$ 165,990 but has less sporty appeal. Meanwhile, the Tracker Premier, priced at R$ 150,990, falls short in standard features compared to the Impetus version of the Fastback.
Why the Fiat Fastback 2026 Is a Strong Bet for the Brand
Fiat invests in the Fastback as a key piece to maintain leadership in the urban SUV segment in Brazil. The model unites three pillars: bold design, energy efficiency, and embedded technology. Local production in Betim, tax incentives, and the dealer network strengthen its presence.
With over 150,000 units sold since 2022, the Fastback 2026 reaffirms its position as one of the most complete SUVs today — now even more modern and aligned with the demands of a connected consumer who values efficiency.
