With an Official Statement Directly from the Director of Techint in Brazil, 1,500 Jobs Will Be Created Just in the Implementation Phase of the Thermoelectric Plant in Boa Vista, Roraima
The latest contract signed by Techint with Eneva will be for the execution of the thermoelectric project in Roraima, in Boa Vista, where more than 1,500 jobs will be generated for Brazil during its implementation phase. “I am very happy and proud of the work done by our team, which allowed us to achieve this result,” said Luis Guilherme de Sá, Commercial and Business Development Director Techint
On May 31, Eneva was one of the winners of the Auction for Supply to Boa Vista and Connected Locations, held by the Electric Energy Trading Chamber (CCEE). The company stated that it closed a contract with Techint for the construction of the plant, while critical equipment for the power island of the project will be supplied by Siemens.

The federal government auction to enable energy supply solutions to Roraima closed the hiring of a nominal power of 293.8 megawatts (MW), coming from nine enterprises that will require billion-dollar investments.
The company will develop in Roraima the thermoelectric project Jaguatirica II, with a capacity of 132.3 MW, powered by natural gas, and supplied with gas produced by Eneva in the Azulão field, in Amazonas.
The project is expected to require a total of 1.8 billion reais, with 40% in foreign currency. Eneva sold energy at a reference price of 798.17 reais per megawatt-hour, with fixed revenue of 429.3 million per year.
Complex Parnaíba I, in Maranhão
Techint E&C will begin the construction of a thermoelectric power plant in Brazil. The company will achieve the cycle closure in one of the largest thermal power complex generating natural gas in the country.
In February 2019, Techint E&C was awarded the construction of the Parnaíba V thermoelectric power plant, in the Parnaíba I complex, located in Santo Antônio dos Lopes, in Maranhão. The start of works is scheduled for the second half of this year.
The contract is the result of the awarding of Eneva in the energy auction promoted by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) in August 2018. In this context, Techint won the bidding process held by Eneva for a Turnkey EPC project for the construction and assembly of the Parnaíba V plant, which consists of the cycle closure of the Parnaíba I plant, which currently operates in an open cycle.
The only natural gas project contracted in the auction, the UTE Parnaíba V, will have an installed capacity of 386 MW. The equipment will be supplied by GE, which has extensive experience in turbine generator technology and cycle closure.
It is worth clarifying that Eneva is an integrated energy company, with assets in oil and gas and energy generation. In addition, it is considered the largest private thermal power generation company in Brazil.
