Amazon Web Services Declares That It Has Already Prepared More Than 200,000 People in Brazil Through Its Free Information Technology Courses. Currently, There Are More Than 500 Courses Available

According to the Educa Mais Brasil Agency, the research “Talent Demand in ICT and STCEM Strategy” conducted by Brasscom shows that Brazil trains an average of more than 50,000 people annually with profiles that tend toward technological skills. The estimate is that the technology sector will demand nearly 800,000 new talents, a number far higher than the available professionals. In light of this, the expectation is a deficit of 106,000 Information Technology professionals per year, corresponding to over half a million in five years. Given this professional landscape, Amazon, the technology multinational founded by billionaire Jeff Bezos, is offering over 500 free courses.

The retail giant uses the AWS Skill Builder digital platform to implement the methods of the free courses. Just as Amazon is increasingly investing in the Information Technology (IT) segment, the population that wishes to remain active in the job market should also invest in this area, considering the growing demand.

Who Can Participate in Amazon’s Free Information Technology Courses?

Both people with and without experience can take the technology specializations. The cloud computing arm, Amazon Web Services (AWS), offers free courses for both those who already have expertise in technologies but wish to improve and for those who are still novices in the Information Technology field. The specializations offered by Amazon are directed toward the sectors of Data Analysis, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, Security, and Serverless Computing. According to what the company revealed, the network itself guides users to discover which content is most relevant according to their knowledge level and career plan. To check the opportunities and other information available for the free courses, interested individuals should access the AWS Skill Builder platform.
Additionally, Amazon also has another program: AWS re/Start. Unlike the Amazon Web Services Skill Builder, which is focused on Information Technology, this program offers free specialization courses and the development of practical skills, such as resume writing and interviews, that prepare professionals for the entry-level cloud market. To participate, interested individuals should follow the same instructions as above: they should also go to the program’s website.
