Auction of Detran-SP in Bebedouro Brings Cars, Motorcycles, and Scraps in 83 Lots, with Online Registrations Open Until 48 Hours Before.
Offers of vehicles and motorcycles in drivable condition will be available in an auction by the São Paulo State Department of Traffic (Detran-SP).
The auction begins on September 29 and will feature units collected for infractions in the Bebedouro area. The notice was published in the Official State Gazette, bringing all the details of the lots.
In total, there will be 83 units: 13 preserved vehicles, capable of driving; 31 lots of reusable scraps; and 39 unusable scraps, intended for recycling or smelting.

Auction Structure
The auction will be divided into three days. The first will be dedicated to preserved units that can still travel on the streets. The second will focus on scraps that can be disassembled for parts reuse. The last day will feature scraps intended exclusively for recycling.
According to the notice, each lot provides information such as make, model, engine, color, year of manufacture, and minimum bid, defined by experts. This starting value takes into account both the condition and the average price practiced in the market.
Visitation and Pre-Bids
Interested parties may visit the lots between September 22 and 26, from 9 AM to 4 PM, at the Auto Socorro e Transportes Viana yard, located at Frei Clemente Grassi Street, No. 1,373, in the Jardim Canadá neighborhood, in Bebedouro.
During the visit, it will not be allowed to handle, remove parts, or conduct tests. The vehicles will be sold as is, without guarantees.
During the same period, starting September 22, it will also be possible to register pre-bids. This modality works as an early offer, which will be validated at the beginning of the public session.
If there is no higher offer within 30 seconds, the pre-bid will be the winner. The legislation does not allow withdrawal after registering a bid.
The pre-bid is indicated to avoid technical connection issues during the session. Still, those who do not register can normally participate with live offers on the site.
Bidding Rules
The increment values between bids vary according to the category. For preserved vehicles, the minimum increase must be R$ 100. For reusable scraps, the value is R$ 50. For scraps intended for recycling, the calculation is made by weight, with an increase of R$ 0.02 per kilogram.
It is important to remember that the vehicle owner can still recover it up to one business day before the auction if they settle all outstanding debts, such as fines, removal and storage fees in the yard. This rule follows Resolution 623/2016 of the National Traffic Council (Contran).

The calendar published by the notice brings the following order:

October 1, from 9 AM to 6 PM: public session
The times follow Brasília’s time zone. The closing may occur before 6 PM if a lot goes 30 seconds without new bids. If there is a technical failure by the auctioneer for more than 30 minutes, the session will be suspended and rescheduled. Connection failures by participants do not interrupt the process or generate compensation.
Who Can Participate
In the lots of preserved vehicles, individuals and legal entities regularly registered with the Federal Revenue Service may place bids.
For reusable scraps, participation is restricted to companies registered to operate in the sale of used parts.
In the case of scraps intended for recycling, only steel mills or foundries are authorized to participate.
Restrictions
For safety and integrity reasons, some groups are prohibited from participating in the Detran-SP auctions.
These include agency employees and their relatives up to the second degree, as well as auctioneers and their team members.
Also excluded are owners, partners, or managers of third-party yards that custody the vehicles, their close relatives, and collaborators.
Individuals or legal entities with legal restrictions to contract with the public administration are also not allowed to register.
Auction Expectations
The auction in Bebedouro repeats the model already adopted in other regions of the state, aiming to correctly dispose of seized vehicles.
It seeks to reduce the occupancy of yards while opening opportunities for those wishing to acquire a car, motorcycle, or scrap at competitive prices.
For many interested parties, it is a chance to find units in drivable condition, with an initial value lower than in the conventional market.
For others, it represents a way to secure parts or recyclable material for industrial reuse.
