Tesla Reports That It Is Not Aware Of Any Accidents, Injuries, Or Deaths Due To The Issue With Its Electric Cars. The Company States That It Will Use The System To Fix The Problem.

Tesla Has Started A Recall Of Nearly 1.1 Million Of Its Electric Cars Due To Concerns That A Closing Window Could “Pinch” A Passenger Before It Retracts. The Announcement Was Made By The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The Vehicles Affected By The Recall Are:

Model 3 (From 2017 To 2022);

Model Y (From 2020 And 2021);

Model S (From 2021 And 2022);

Model X (From 2021 And 2022).

Due To The Incident, Investors Did Not Waste Time And Demanded A Position, Which Directly Affected The Stocks Of Elon Musk’s Electric Car Company. Around 3 PM, Tesla Shares Fell 3.74% On The New York Exchanges, Where They Were Quoted At US$289.52, A Figure Higher Than Other Automakers Or Tech Companies.

The Company’s Receipts For Stocks – The BDRs, Also Saw A Decline. At The Same Time, There Was A Drop Of 4.60%, Where They Were Being Traded At R$46.46. The Incident Brought Down Tesla Stocks, As Previously Seen In April Of This Year.

Tesla Decides To Take Action To Fix Electric Cars

Tesla Has Indicated That It Will Implement Over-The-Air Software Updates In The Cars To Fix The Problem. Thus, It Stated That It Is Not Aware Of Any Injuries, Accidents, Or Deaths Associated With The Occurrence. Furthermore, The Information Was Taken From A Safety Recall Report.

This Is Not The First Time Tesla Has Conducted A Recall This Year. In May, The Company Recalled About 130,000 Vehicles Due To Issues With The Central Processing Units In The Cars, Which Led The Company To Take Drastic Measures To Avoid Losing Trust.

Previously, In April, Elon Musk’s Company Recalled About 600,000 Vehicles Due To Concerns That The Sounds From The Pedestrian Alert System In The Electric Cars Could Be Obscured. To Fix The Problem, Various Actions Were Taken.

To Address The Issue, The Company Planned To Launch Over-The-Air Software Updates To Handle Both Situations. Now, We Must Wait To See If A New Recall Will Occur Due To New Accidents.

On Twitter, Elon Musk Was Questioned About The Incident, And He Took The Opportunity To Clarify That This Will Be Resolved By Defining The Occurrence As A Recall, Indicating That The Problem Should Be Fixed Via A System Update, Without The Need To Take The Car To A Dealership For Repair.

In A Twitter Post, He Stated That The Terminology Is Outdated And Inaccurate. Thus, He Classified It As A Minor Remote Software Update. So Far, He Mentioned That There Have Been No Injuries Due To The Incident.

Tesla Recall Was About Electric Windows

The Incident Occurred Due To A Malfunction In The Electric Windows Of The Vehicles. Some Videos Circulated Online About What Happened. Check It Out:
