The Brazilian Army has opened applications for the admission contest to the training courses of the Army Health and Supplementary Training School, based in Salvador, with 227 vacancies intended for candidates with higher education and expected entry in 2027.
The selection process includes opportunities in the areas of Health, Supplementary Framework, and religious assistance, with applications open from March 27 to June 12.

Additionally, there are eight vacancies for pharmacists and another eight for dentists, in specialties described in the official documents of the contest.
In other areas, the contest includes 57 vacancies for the Supplementary Officers Framework and two vacancies for the Military Chaplains Framework, intended for the Roman Catholic Apostolic faith.
Among the degrees covered in the Supplementary Framework are Administration, Accounting Sciences, Social Communication with a focus on Journalism, Law, Economics, Nursing, Statistics, Computer Science, Psychology, Pedagogy, Veterinary Medicine, and various teaching degrees.
The distribution shows that the school located in the capital of Bahia remains one of the main centers for training career officers in technical and health areas of the Army.
The courses last for 37 weeks, and those approved undergo military training before assuming their corresponding positions in their specialties.
Military career and assignment after training
At the end of the training course, students in the Health area and the Supplementary Framework are promoted to the rank of 1st lieutenant.
In the case of chaplains, the appointment occurs as 2nd lieutenant after specific training.
According to the Army, progression throughout the career varies according to the framework, with the possibility of reaching higher ranks based on professional trajectory and the institution’s rules.
For doctors approved for national vacancies, the definition of the service location only occurs in a later phase of training and follows the order of classification.
In regionalized vacancies, the candidate chooses the specific location they wish to compete for at the time of registration, according to the list provided in the notice.
