The Government Of The State Of São Paulo Received, On The Morning Of This Thursday, July 10, 2025, The First Of 22 Trains That Will Operate On The Future Line 6-Orange Of The Metro. The Arrival Of The Composition Is A Milestone For The Work, Which Accumulates A Long History Of Delays And Suspensions Since It Was Announced For The First Time.
According To The Government Of São Paulo, The New Line 6-Orange Train Will Be Used For Testing Starting In September. The New Forecast Is That The Line, Which Will Connect The Northern Zone To The City Center, Will Start Operating For The Public In 2026, Transforming The Mobility Of More Than 600 Thousand Passengers Per Day.
What Is Line 6-Orange? The “Universities Line”
Line 6-Orange Is A Fully Underground Metro Project, With 15 Stations And 15.3 Km In Length. It Will Connect The Brasilândia Neighborhood, In The Northern Zone, To The São Joaquim Station (Line 1-Blue), In The City Center, Passing Through Neighborhoods Such As Perdizes And Higienópolis.
