According to the last census by IBGE (2019), the country recorded 9.3 million students in high school, of which 7.1% attended some type of technical course.
All these data reinforce the credibility of technical courses, as well as the search for spots in public and private schools. One of the largest private technical education networks in the country, Grau Técnico, is the flagship of the Grau Educacional group.
The school has over 70 units across the five regions of the country and offers more than 20 courses in health, business, technology, and industry. The courses last an average of one and a half to two years, with classes three times a week. Students receive all supporting materials, such as technical textbooks for free, and have access to classrooms integrated with laboratories.
In the state of Rio de Janeiro, there are currently 2,500 students enrolled in the 30 courses offered at the branches in Duque de Caxias, Tijuca, São João de Meriti, Bangu, Centro, Nova Iguaçu, Madureira, and Petrópolis.
The franchise network also plans an expansion by 2022, totaling 20 units in Rio de Janeiro, which will represent investments of around R$22 million in the first semester of the upcoming year.
According to the president of Grau Educacional, Mr. Ruy Porto Carreiro Filho, “The network managed to get through the most complicated phase of the pandemic, and all our schools continued to operate by alternating hybrid and in-person teaching models. We reinvented ourselves and remain committed to our mission of providing quality technical education.”
The courses at Grau Técnico cover the areas of training for the jobs that the market needs the most. Additionally, more than 50,000 students have already been hired, with 1,315 just in the last month.
Nursing Ranks At The Top Of The List Of In-Demand Courses And Guarantees Employment
Among the 30 courses offered by Grupo Técnico, the nursing course is the most sought after, accounting for 60% of enrollments, followed by courses in radiology, administration, and electronics. All these courses last, on average, 24 months.
About 80% of students have already secured a job even before graduating, thanks to an initiative from the school itself, as we have a partnership with the Employment Agency, where various companies identify vacancies and refer students for internships and permanent positions. In eleven years, more than 50,000 students have already been hired.
