Grau Técnico opened eight schools during the pandemic in the state of Rio de Janeiro and around 80% of students have already found a job before they even graduate. The nursing technician is at the top of the list among the positions with the highest demand in Brazil for this time of pandemic, among the 20 highlighted by the Glassdoor platform.

The market for technical schools has grown every year in Brazil. According to more recent data from the Secretariat for Professional and Technological Education of the Ministry of Education, between 2013 and 2019 there was a 17% increase in the number of enrollments in public and private units.

All these data reinforce the credibility of technical courses, as well as the search for vacancies in public and private schools. One of the largest private technical education networks in the country, Grau Técnico, is the flagship of the Grau Educacional group. 

The school has more than 70 units, present in the five regions of the country, and offers more than 20 courses in the areas of health, business, technology and industry. The courses have an average duration of one and a half to two years, with classes three times a week. According to the president of Grau Educacional, Mr. Ruy Porto Carreiro Filho, he said that “The network managed to go through the most complicated phase of the pandemic, all our schools continued to operate, alternating hybrid and face-to-face teaching models. We reinvented ourselves and remained firm with the mission of offering quality technical education.” 

The Technical Degree courses cover the training areas for work that the market most needs. In addition, more than 50 students have been hired, 1.315 of which in the last month alone.

Among the 30 courses offered by Grupo Técnico, the nursing is the most popular course, accounting for 60% of enrollments, followed by courses in radiology, administration and electronics. All these courses last an average of 24 months. 

About 80% of students already got a job even before they graduate, thanks to an initiative by the school itself, as we have a partnership with the Employment Agency, where several companies identify vacancies and refer students to internships and permanent vacancies. In eleven years, more than 50 students have already been hired.
