The University of São Paulo (USP), considered the best higher education institution in Brazil, is open for enrollment for a free course in writing and Portuguese language.
This initiative is part of the Redigir Project, promoted by the School of Communications and Arts (ECA), with the goal of improving participants’ written communication in various everyday contexts.
Enrollment is open until March 29, and interested individuals must fill out an online form.

- Be at least 16 years old;
- Not have completed a degree at a public university;
- There is no age limit for candidates.
If the number of applicants exceeds the total number of available spots, selection will be based on socioeconomic criteria.
Factors such as education and income will be considered to ensure that those who need it most have access to the classes.
The approved candidates will receive an email with instructions for the start of the course.
What Is The Differentiator of The Redigir Project?
Unlike traditional writing courses geared towards entrance exams and competitions, the Redigir Project has a focus on everyday life.
The proposal is for students to learn to communicate better in various situations, whether writing a professional email, producing a work report, or even structuring their ideas better in a conversation.
Throughout the semester, participants will have classes on:
Grammar Applied to Daily Life, such as correct usage of punctuation and accentuation;
Textual Genres, to understand different forms of writing;
Practical Writing, with exercises and personalized corrections;
Debates on Social and Cultural Topics, promoting the development of critical thinking;
Argumentation Strategies, so students can defend their ideas coherently;
Text Interpretation Techniques, aiding in the understanding of information and the production of quality text.
Classes will be taught by volunteer students from USP, from various courses, and will take place every Saturday morning at the Butantã campus.
The academic period will be from April 5 to June 28, providing students with intensive and quality education.
