Distribution of Slots Offered by the Federal University
The 680 available slots at the Federal University are distributed among various free courses and teaching centers.
The Physics course – Degree, for example, has slots in the centers of Novo Hamburgo, Santana da Boa Vista, Cachoeira do Sul, Sapucaia do Sul, Esteio, and Rio Grande, with 20 slots for each location.
The Pedagogy course – Degree offers 40 slots in Santo Antônio da Patrulha, Sapiranga, Esteio, and Cachoeira do Sul, along with 25 slots in Santana da Boa Vista and Mostardas.
In the course of Portuguese Language and Literature – Degree, the slots are distributed among Balneário Pinhal, Canguçu, Hulha Negra, Novo Hamburgo, Santo Antônio da Patrulha, and Sapiranga.

Federal University Selection Process and Applications
To participate in the selection process, candidates must register by September 23 through the Federal University website, upon payment of an application fee of R$ 50.00.

Those wishing to request an exemption from the fee must do so by September 9, with the results of the fee exemption requests to be announced on September 12.
The selection process will be conducted exclusively through a written exam, which will be administered at one of the support centers chosen by the candidate at the time of registration.
The exam will have eliminatory and classificatory character, meaning that only candidates who obtain the best scores will be eligible to compete for the slots.

In addition to the dates for registration and fee exemption requests, candidates should pay attention to the following deadlines: the deadline for requesting special assistance also ends on September 23.
The approval of registrations and special assistance will occur on September 27, 2024, and the deadline for appeals will be from September 28 to September 30, 2024.
The definitive list of registered candidates will be published on November 5, 2024, followed by the announcement of exam locations on November 18.
The exams will take place on December 1, 2024, with the general ranking expected to be announced on January 21, 2025.
In case of a tie in the rankings, a public draw will be held on January 22, 2025.
The final list of approved candidates will be announced on January 27, 2025.
