The Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) announced the reopening of registrations for its free courses distance learning undergraduate program (EaD), offering a total of 680 places for the year 2025. Distribution of vacancies offered by the Federal University
The 680 places available at the Federal University are distributed among several free courses and teaching centers.
O course Physics — Bachelor's degree, for example, has vacancies at the centers of Novo Hamburgo, Santana da Boa Vista, Cachoeira do Sul, Sapucaia do Sul, Esteio and Rio Grande, with 20 vacancies for each location.
The Pedagogy course — Bachelor's degree offers 40 places in Santo Antônio da Patrulha, Sapiranga, Esteio and Cachoeira do Sul, in addition to 25 places in Santana da Boa Vista and Mostardas.

Federal University selection process and registration
To participate in the selection process, candidates must register by September 23rd on the Federal University website, upon payment of a registration fee of R$50,00.

Those wishing to request a fee waiver must do so by September 9, with the results of waiver requests being announced on September 12.
The process of team will be carried out exclusively through an in-person writing test, which will be administered at one of the support centers chosen by the candidate at the time of registration.
The essay will be eliminatory and classificatory in nature, which means that only candidates who obtain the best grades will be eligible to compete for the vacancies.

To ensure that all candidates are aware of the stages of the selection process, FURG has released a complete schedule.
In addition to the registration and exemption request dates, candidates must be aware of the following deadlines: the period for requesting special assistance also ends on September 23.
The approval of registrations and special assistance will take place on September 27, 2024, and the deadline for appeals will be from September 28 to 30, 2024.
The final list of registered candidates will be published on November 5, 2024, followed by the announcement of the test locations on November 18.
As evidence will be applied on December 1, 2024, with the general classification expected to be announced on January 21, 2025.
In the event of a tie in the classification, a public draw will be held on January 22, 2025.
The final list of approved candidates will be released on January 27, 2025.
