Toyota Plans to Invest R$ 50 Million for Modernization of Its Factory in Indaiatuba (SP), Responsible for Manufacturing the Corolla Sedan
Toyota do Brasil plans to make an investment of R$ 50 million in its factory, located in the city of Indaiatuba (SP), where the Corolla sedan has been produced since the late 1990s for the entire national and Latin American territory. The first phase of the investment will be made later this year and, according to the automaker, the funding will be essential for the purchase of new technologies in the assembly line of the plant, aiming at a renewal project for the lifecycle of the current generation of the Corolla sedan.
Toyota Comments on the New Investment in the Indaiatuba Factory – SP
According to the president of Toyota do Brasil, Rafael Chang, in a statement released, the company remains committed to its strategy of providing a Corolla sedan and other more competitive and attractive vehicles to its customers in Brazil and throughout Latin America. For over 20 years, the plant in Indaiatuba (SP) has demonstrated its ability to successfully generate new business.
This occurs because Toyota places greater importance on long-term plans that reflect the trust its customers have in the brand’s vehicles. It is worth noting that in 2019, Toyota completed a R$ 1 billion investment cycle in Indaiatuba (SP), enabling the factory to produce the 12th generation of the Corolla sedan, which was also equipped with flex hybrid technology, making it the first plant in Latin America to manufacture an electrified vehicle.
