Partnership Between Public University and Private Sector Expands National Access to Online Trainings in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis, with Limited Spots, Digital Certification, and Defined Deadlines for Registration and Course Completion.
The State University of Ceará (UECE) opened 1,500 spots in free online courses in Artificial Intelligence and Power BI, aimed primarily at students, teachers, and education professionals from both public and private networks throughout Brazil.
The trainings have a workload of 10 hours, allow for immediate start after registration, and provide for issuance of a digital certificate for those who complete with approval, according to the announcement of the Free Digital Teaching Program.
The offer is part of an edition of the program executed in partnership with the Dell Research, Development, and Innovation Center (LEAD), the UECE Development and Innovation Laboratory (LDI), and the Institute of Studies, Research, and Projects (IEPRO), with activities conducted by the Dell Accessible Learning (DAL) platform.

Free Online Courses with Flexible Schedules
The announcement provides for non-tutored classes and remote access via the DAL platform, with a proposal for flexible study schedules.
In practice, this means that the participant organizes their own learning routine, following the content provided in the virtual environment.
Still, the document states that the teaching methodology includes monitoring by a specialized team, as well as support channels for questions and guidance on system usage.
Those who wish to participate must observe one basic rule: each candidate can enroll in a maximum of two courses in this selection.
Which Artificial Intelligence and Power BI Courses Are Available
The selection includes four courses, all with 10 hours of duration, focused on the use of digital tools applied to education.
The available trainings are:
- Power BI for Education
- Artificial Intelligence for Creative Studies
- Artificial Intelligence for Education I
- Artificial Intelligence for Education II: Enhancing Methods and Tools
The goal, according to the institutional announcement from UECE, is to expand access to technological training in different regions of the country, focusing on educational applications.
Selection Criteria Prioritizes Registration Order
The admission process follows a direct criterion: the filling of spots occurs by registration order, until the total limit set in the announcement.
Therefore, the public call emphasizes that the speed of registration can be decisive to guarantee participation.
Priority is given to students, teachers, and education professionals from both public and private networks.
If the spots are not fully occupied by this audience, they may be made available for wider competition.
Socioeconomic Questionnaire Is Required for Certification
A central point of the announcement is the mandatory completion of the Socioeconomic Questionnaire available on the DAL platform.
This step is presented as necessary for both certification purposes and the continuous improvement of the program.
The official text warns that the absence of this completion may compromise the issuance of the certificate, even if the course is completed.
Accessibility Resources Available to Students
The DAL platform is described as an environment with accessibility resources aimed at different needs.
Among the reported features are sound alerts, voice commands, virtual keyboard, font resizing, high contrast, and audio description.
The material also provides for videos with sign language interpreters for deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals.
The announcement emphasizes, however, that the accessibility of third-party software mentioned in the content is the responsibility of the respective providers.
Technical Requirements to Access Online Courses
To attend classes, the announcement establishes minimum requirements for technological infrastructure.
It is necessary to have a computer with a processor equivalent to Intel i3 (3.40 GHz), at least 4 GB of RAM, and a broadband internet connection of 10 MB per second.
A webcam is recommended for conferences or recordings in sign language, although it is not mandatory at the time of registration.
The recommended browser for using the platform is Google Chrome.
Digital Certificates and Deadlines Set in the Announcement
Digital certificates will be issued to approved participants, with a deadline of up to 60 business days after the last day of the course.
The document will be available for download directly from the DAL platform.
The announcement also states that, for security protocol, no statements will be issued, only certificates of completion.
How to Register, Deadlines, and Start of Classes
Registrations are open and can be made until January 9, 2026, exclusively through the LEAD Portal.
After registration, the student can start studying immediately, without waiting for a class to form.
The final deadline for completing the courses in this edition is February 5, 2026, regardless of the enrollment date.
