UFMA Is Open for Enrollment for Hundreds of Slots in Free Distance Learning Courses. With Opportunities in Mathematics, Language, Computing, and More, Free EAD Courses Are Part of UAB.
The Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) is open for enrollment for a new selection process for free EAD courses. The remaining slots in free distance learning courses are part of the Open University of Brazil (UAB) System Program. In general, the process offers 201 slots in free distance learning courses, distributed across the following courses:
Bachelor’s Degree in Administration
Aims to prepare students to understand and effectively manage aspects related to management, operations, and decision-making in different types of organizations, whether private or public sector.

Teaching Degree in Computing and Information Technology
Aims to provide training actions directed towards the teaching of computer science in the educational context. Here you will learn to acquire computational and educational knowledge, understand and participate in the construction of educational processes, generate innovations in teaching processes, among others.
Teaching Degree in Portuguese Language
This program aims to train teachers for Elementary and High School in the areas of grammar, literature, and writing.
Teaching Degree in Mathematics
This aims to train teachers and develop cognitive and axiological competencies in the Mathematics graduate, focusing on knowing-how and knowing-how-to-learn in the context of Mathematics.
Teaching Degree in Pedagogy
This aims to prepare graduates for teaching in Early Childhood Education and the initial years of Elementary Education, in High School courses and Professional Education courses.
Technology Degree in Quality Management
Aims to teach about the stages and processes of a company or organization, assuming a fundamental strategic role in institutions, improving production efficiency, reducing costs, among others.
Learn How to Enroll in UFMA’s Free EAD Courses
Those interested in the slots for free distance learning courses must register through the DTED Selection site by March 10.
Registrations are completely free, and candidates will be classified by order of registration, respecting the limit of available slots for each course and campus. More information can be obtained in the notice.
In case of a tie in the selection process for UFMA’s free EAD courses, the highest grade point average recorded in the undergraduate academic transcript will be considered. It is worth mentioning that the slots in free distance learning courses will be distributed across the following UAB centers:

Types of Transfers
Those interested in the slots for free distance learning courses can participate in the following types of transfers:
Internal EAD Transfer
Aimed at students regularly enrolled from the second semester of the 2024.2 academic year at UFMA, in any offered course from any campus or center, in the same modality.
Internal In-Person Transfer
Aimed at students regularly enrolled from the fourth semester of the 2024.2 academic year at UFMA, in courses in the same area or related areas, according to the knowledge area table by CAPES offered from any campus, in the in-person modality.
External Transfer UFMA
Aimed at students regularly enrolled from the fourth semester of the 2024.2 academic year in other higher education institutions, in courses in the same area or in a related area, according to the CAPES knowledge area table.
