Distribution of Places by Research Lines in the Master’s in Education
The available places are organized into six research lines, and each candidate must indicate only one at the time of registration.
According to the notice, the line Curriculum, Teaching, and Difference includes 12 places, while State, Work-Education, and Social Movements has 16 opportunities.
Meanwhile, Teacher Training, Languages, and Subjectivity has 10 places.
Other areas included are Inclusion, Ethics, and Interculturality, with seven places, Educational Policies and Institutions, with eight, and History, Subjects, and Educational Processes, which has two places for the next class.
The definition of the line guides both the analysis of the pre-project and the composition of the evaluation committees.
In addition to the thematic division, the notice provides for the distribution of places by competition modality.
Out of the total, 38 places are allocated for general competition.
The other 17 are part of affirmative action policies, following UFRJ’s internal regulations and current legislation, with reserves for black, brown, indigenous candidates, people with disabilities, transgender, transsexual, and quilombola individuals, according to the criteria described in the document.
Stages of the Selection Process for the Master’s at UFRJ
Admission to the Master’s in Education at UFRJ occurs through four stages, all eliminatory.

Next, the approved candidates take a written exam, without consultation, consisting of two essay questions.

Calendar for the Master’s in Education at UFRJ
