The Federal University of Maranhão – UFMA published an announcement this week, where it will open registrations for the Public Competition 2022. UFMA is offering vacancies for positions at the middle and higher education levels. The tests will take place in May this year. The Federal University of Maranhão is a Brazilian public higher education institution, maintained by the Federal Government of Brazil. UFMA is a foundation linked to the Ministry of Education. It is one of the largest federal universities in the country and one of Brazil’s centers of excellence in teaching and research.
Open Vacancies for Public Competition at the Federal University of Maranhão – UFMA
The organizing body is UFMA itself. The public competition will serve to complete the staff at the São Luís, Imperatriz, Codó, Bacabal, Chapadinha, Grajaú, Pinheiro, Balsas, and São Bernardo campuses.
Interested individuals must register on UFMA’s Portal by clicking this link, from March 28 to April 11, 2022. The objective tests will occur on May 22, 2022. Those interested at the middle level will pay a registration fee of R$ 90.00 and those at the higher level R$ 130.00.

The tests for the public competition at UFMA will take place only on May 22, 2022, from 9 AM to 1 PM, only in the capital São Luís. The objective tests will have 50 multiple-choice questions, with 5 options for each question, that is, from A to E, with only one correct alternative.
Regardless of the position, there will be 10 questions on the Portuguese language, 10 questions on Legislation, and 30 questions on Specific Knowledge. A candidate will be considered approved if they achieve a score equal to or greater than 40% of the total points.
Positions and Salaries
The positions offered are: Laboratory Technician (for the Dentistry Clinics area), Administrator (Level E), and Educational Affairs Technician (Level E). As mentioned, the positions are for middle and higher education levels. The initial salaries are up to R$ 4,180.66. There will be 4 vacancies for Laboratory Technician (Dentistry Clinics), 2 vacancies for Administrator (Level E), and 1 vacancy for Educational Affairs Technician (Level E).
Those who are approved for the different positions offered in the announcement of the Federal University of Maranhão will be entitled to the following initially offered salaries, being R$ 2,446.96 for middle/technical level and R$ 4,180.66 for higher level.
The work schedule will be 40 hours per week for all those who occupy the offered vacancies. It is worth noting that interested individuals must register on the UFMA website from March 28 to April 11.
Qualifications for the Public Competition at the Federal University of Maranhão – UFMA
To secure the vacancies for the positions offered in the public competition announcement of UFMA, interested candidates must meet specific requirements. For those wishing to fill the vacancies of Laboratory Technician – area: Dentistry Clinics, it is necessary to have completed high school and/or a technical course in this specific area, or even vocational high school in the field.
It is also extremely important that the candidate has registration with the competent Council. For the position of Administrator, the candidate must have a duly registered diploma, or proof of completion of a higher education course in Administration – valid only for higher education institutions that are duly recognized by the MEC. It is also necessary for the candidate to be regularly registered with the competent Council.
Finally, for Educational Affairs Technician, the candidate must also have their diploma issued and registered, or proof of completion of a higher education course in Pedagogy or Licentiate programs – also valid only if issued by a higher education institution recognized by the MEC.
