UFES Opens Registrations for Distance Specialization Courses
The UFES (Federal University of Espírito Santo) is currently accepting registrations for two distance specialization courses, starting in the second semester of this year. Don’t miss this opportunity to advance your career with the high-quality education from UFES!
Entering UFES Has Never Been So Accessible
If you have always dreamed of specializing and seek flexibility in your studies, UFES is offering 450 spots for distance specialization courses. There are 200 spots for the Dance Education course and 250 for Methodology of Athletics – Teaching and Training.
Specialization in Dance Education
The Dance Education course will last 18 months, with a workload of 360 hours. Classes will be offered through the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), including mandatory in-person meetings and synchronous virtual sessions conducted via web conference. The specialization is distributed across five in-person service centers: Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Colatina, Domingos Martins, Nova Venécia, and Vila Velha. Each center has 40 spots filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Philosophical, Sociological, and Historical Aspects of Dance
- Fundamentals of Dance
- Methods and Processes of Dance Teaching
- Dance in Historical Art Movements
- Research Methodology in Dance
Target Audience: Professionals teaching Dance in formal, non-formal, and informal education, both public and private.
Requirements: Reside in Espírito Santo, hold a degree in any Teaching area, and not be a mediating teacher of the course.
Specialization in Methodology of Athletics – Teaching and Training
With a workload of 405 hours distributed over 10 subjects, the Methodology of Athletics course at UFES will also last 18 months. Classes will be conducted through the AVA, with mandatory in-person meetings and web conferences. The 250 spots are divided among the service centers in Afonso Cláudio, Alegre, Aracruz, Mantenópolis, São Mateus, and Vitória.

Module 4: Teaching and Training Methods
- Teaching and Training in Throwing and Launching Events – 45h
- Teaching and Training in Jumping Events – 45h
- Teaching and Training in Speed Events – 45h
- Teaching and Training in Middle-Distance and Long-Distance Events – 45h
Target Audience: Professionals and teachers from public and private networks, gyms, clubs, and health and leisure areas.
Requirements: Reside in Espírito Santo, hold a degree in Physical Education, Pedagogy, or related fields, and not be a mediating teacher of the course.
