The Announcement for the Caixa Contest Has Been Published with Over Four Thousand Open Positions. Salaries Can Reach Up to R$ 16 Thousand. Read the Article and Stay Updated on What Should Be One of the Biggest Contests of 2024.
The wait is over! An announcement for one of the year’s most anticipated contests was published this Thursday (22) in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU). We are talking about the document regarding the Caixa Econômica Federal contest.
In total, the financial institution has more than four thousand positions available. These opportunities are for different education levels and positions, with salaries of up to R$ 16 thousand.
The publication in the Official Gazette of the Union includes two announcements. Both will have contests conducted by the Cesgranrio Foundation.

First Caixa Announcement
This first announcement published by Caixa contains most of the positions. These opportunities are for the banking technician position but come with different specifications. Check it out:
- New Banking Technician (Traditional);
- Information Technology (IT).
For these roles, there will be four thousand positions, two thousand for each function. In summary, interested candidates must have completed at least high school to participate in the contest. The starting salary for the role is R$ 5,575.54.
The Second Announcement from the Institution
The second announcement published this Thursday by Caixa includes 50 positions. These opportunities are divided into the following roles:
- Occupational Physician (28 positions);
- Occupational Safety Engineer (22 positions).
The remuneration for these two roles, which require a complete higher education, is R$ 12,999.80 and R$ 16,728.80, respectively.
According to Caixa, in both announcements, there is a reserve of 6% of positions for people with disabilities and 20% for self-declared black candidates. These positions for the Caixa contest are distributed throughout the Federal District and the other 26 states in the country.
Besides the Salary: Benefits of Working at Caixa
The approved candidates will work 30 hours a week, with six hours per day. In addition to the salaries already reported in the article, they will have various additional benefits, including:
- Food and Meal Allowance – R$ 1,014.42;
- Food Basket Allowance – R$ 799.38;
- 13th Food Basket Allowance – R$ 799.38;
- Childcare/Babysitter Allowance – R$ 602.81;
- Health Assistance; and
- Supplementary Pension.
When Will the Caixa Contest Take Place
The exams for the Caixa contest will take place in May, meaning candidates will have nearly four months to study for the exam. On the day of the test, candidates for the banking technician role, for example, will be evaluated through objective and essay tests.
This essay test will consist of 60 questions, with 25 on Basic Knowledge and 35 on Specific Knowledge. See the structure:
Basic Knowledge (25 Questions)
- Portuguese Language: 5 Questions;
- English Language: 5 Questions;
- Financial Mathematics: 5 Questions;
- Probability and Statistics Concepts: 5 Questions; and
- Ethical Behavior and Compliance: 5 Questions.
Specific Knowledge (35 Questions)
- Banking Knowledge: 15 Questions;
- Information and Communication Technology Knowledge: 5 Questions;
- Digital Knowledge and Behavior: 5 Questions;
- Banking Service: 10 Questions.
For the Technology Banking Technician, the structure will be as follows:
Basic Knowledge (25 Questions)
- Portuguese Language: 5 Questions;
- English Language: 5 Questions;
- Financial Mathematics: 5 Questions;
- Probability and Statistics Concepts: 5 Questions; and
- Ethical Behavior and Compliance: 5 Questions.
- Specific Knowledge (35 Questions)
- Information Technology: 30 Questions; and
- Digital Knowledge and Behavior: 5 Questions.
Tests for Physician and Engineer
The tests for the roles of physician and engineer, which will also be held on May 26, will be divided into objective, essay, and title assessments. The last one being a qualifying assessment.
In the objective part, there will be 70 questions proposed. Of these, 30 will be from Basic Knowledge and 40 from Specific Knowledge. See the structure:
Basic Knowledge (30 Questions)
- Portuguese Language: 10 Questions;
- English Language: 5 Questions;
- Digital Knowledge and Behavior: 5 Questions;
- Ethical Behavior and Compliance: 5 Questions; and
- Probability and Statistics Concepts: 5 Questions.
- Specific Knowledge (40 Questions)
Occupational Physician
- General Medical Knowledge: 10 Questions;
- Occupational Medicine and Worker Health: 15 Questions;
- Specific Legislation: 10 Questions; and
- Medical Audit and Health Plan: 5 Questions.
Occupational Safety Engineer
- Health and Safety at Work: 40 Questions.
Approval Criteria
According to the announcement, after the first stage, candidates for all positions will be classified by pole/macropole/UF, according to the total points obtained.
In this sense, those who do not achieve at least half of the points from the set of objective tests and half of the score from the objective tests of Basic and Specific Knowledge will be eliminated. In the essay test, at least half of the points will be required.
When Will the Final Result of the Caixa Contest Be Announced
The expected date for the final result of the Caixa contest to be published is August 5. Shortly afterwards, the calls will be made by the financial institution.
How to Register
Anyone interested in the Caixa contest should stay tuned, as registrations will open at 10 AM on the next February 29. This registration can be done on the Cesgranrio Foundation website until 11:59 PM on March 25.
To participate in the Caixa contest, a registration fee of R$50 is required for the banking technician position and R$60 for the occupational physician or occupational safety engineer positions.
It is important to highlight that, at the time of registration, the candidate should pay attention to the pole/macropole/UF option field. This is because, for the traditional banking technician position, for example, the examination location will be automatically linked to the selected pole/macropole/UF.
For the technology banking technician position, the candidate, in addition to choosing the pole/macropole/UF option, will have the option to choose which city they wish to take the tests.
Individuals wishing to request an exemption will have from February 29 to March 7 to do so. The request will also be made on the Cesgranrio Foundation website. Candidates registered in the Unified Registry for Federal Government Social Programs or bone marrow donors are exempt from payment.
