SAMU Has Over 500 Open Positions in a New Public Contest for Candidates of All Education Levels. The SAMU Contest Offers Salaries up to R$ 10 Thousand to Those Approved, check how to participate.

The Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU) is open for applications for a new public contest. The opportunities include immediate positions and a reserve list for elementary, high school, and higher education levels. The salaries for those approved in the SAMU contest range from R$ 1,414.12 to R$ 10 thousand with work shifts of 40 to 44 hours per week, or on a schedule of 12×36, 12×60, 24×72, and 24×120.

Aiming to strengthen healthcare in Northwest Rio de Janeiro, the Multi-Purpose Public Consortium of Northwest (CONSPNOR/RJ) announced the opening of this new SAMU contest. Among the open opportunities at SAMU are:

Those approved in the SAMU contest will have the opportunity to work in key cities for regional development, including Aperibé, Bom Jesus do Itabapoana, Cambuci, Cardoso Moreira, Italva, Itaperuna, Itaocara, Miracema, Laje do Muriaé, Porciúncula, Natividade, Santo Antônio de Pádua, São José de Ubá, and Varre Sai.

Specifically for SAMU positions, the selection of the municipality will not strictly follow the ranking order of those approved, reflecting the consortium’s commitment to meritocracy and transparency in its selection process.

Those interested in competing for one of the SAMU Contest positions must prove the required education level for the position they wish to occupy, in addition to being at least 18 years old, among other requirements.

The application period is set to take place between April 5 and 23, according to the rectification of the notice, with the objective tests scheduled for May 19, 2024.

Interested candidates can register exclusively online through the IDESG and CONSPNOR websites, where they can also access the complete notice for free, ensuring that they have all necessary information and requirements for participation.

The application fees for the public contest will be R$ 100 for higher education, R$ 80 for high school or technical, and R$ 60 for elementary education. This selection process is a pathway to transformation in Northwest Rio de Janeiro, not only for the public services offered but also for the lives of the professionals who will join CONSPNOR/RJ.

Being approved in a public contest allows one to count on financial and professional stability. After about three years of work, having completed the probationary period, a public servant can only be dismissed for serious causes.

The average salary of a public servant can be much higher than that of private sector workers. According to a World Bank report, the public sector pays, on average, salaries 70% higher (R$ 44 thousand per year) than those paid by the formal private sector (R$ 26 thousand per year).

In a way, the public contest allows candidates to have equal hiring opportunities. This is because exams are conducted by an organizing board that evaluates candidates impartially, taking into account their knowledge and professional preparation.
