The Kia Cerato stands out for its sporty design, efficient engine and wide list of equipment. With competitive prices on the used market, it is an excellent option for those looking for a spacious and reliable sedan.

Since its arrival in Brazil in 2010, the Kia Cerato has attracted the attention of consumers for several reasons. With an elegant design, reliable engine and an equipment list that surpasses many of its competitors, the model quickly stood out on the market. automotive Brazilian. But after all, Is Kia Cerato worth it?

Kia Cerato and its innovative design

Launched by the South Korean brand Kia, the Cerato brought an innovative and sporty look, the result of the work of renowned designer Peter Schreyer, known for his contributions to Audi and Volkswagen.

Schreyer was responsible for the design of the iconic Audi TT and fourth-generation Volkswagen Golf, and his refined touch is clearly visible in the Cerato.

With imposing lines and a distinctive style, the Cerato immediately stood out among the sedans available at the time.

What's under the hood?

The second generation of the Kia Cerato, which was sold in Brazil between 2010 and 2014, came equipped with a 1.6 aspirated gasoline engine.

With 16 valves, 126 horsepower and 15,9 kgf.m of torque, the Cerato offered solid performance for everyday life.

Initially, the transmission was a six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic, and in 2011, the automatic version became six-speed, further improving the driving experience.

Despite not being a sporting car, the Cerato has always been highly rated for its energy efficiency, reaching averages of 12,2 km/l on the road.

Its dimensions also contributed to practical use: at 4,53 m long, 1,77 m wide and with a wheelbase of 2,65 m, the Cerato was compact on the outside, but offered a spacious interior.

For comparison, the 2011 Honda City, one of its main competitors, had smaller dimensions, except for the trunk, where the Cerato offered 415 liters of space.

Equipment and comfort of the Kia Cerato

The Cerato's equipment list was one of its strong points.

As standard, the model included air conditioning, front airbags, electric windows and locks, electric mirrors, radio with USB and MP3, fog lights and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Optionally, it was possible to find parking sensors, ABS brakes, digital air conditioning and leather seats.

In addition to more refined finishes in the superior versions, which included leather coverings on the door panels and seats, and 16 or 17 inch wheels.

The brand in Brazil

One of the main challenges faced by the Kia Cerato in Brazil was consumers' initial distrust of the import brand.

However, over time, Kia consolidated its operations in the country, demonstrating the solidity and quality of its products.

This factor contributed to the growth in popularity of the Cerato, which reached a significant milestone in 2011, with more than 20 thousand units sold.

How much does a used Kia Cerato cost in 2024?

Currently, the second generation Kia Cerato can be found on the used market from R$30.

This competitive price, combined with its characteristics of internal space, energy efficiency and list of equipment, makes the Cerato an excellent option for those looking for a spacious and reliable sedan, without needing to invest in a new car.

After all, the Is Kia Cerato worth it? The answer is yes!

For those looking for a car with good design, solid performance and a robust equipment list, the Kia Cerato proves to be a smart and economical choice in the Brazilian market.
