With imposing lines and a distinct style, the Cerato immediately stood out among the sedans available at the time.

What’s Under the Hood?

The second-generation Kia Cerato, sold in Brazil between 2010 and 2014, came equipped with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine.

With 16 valves, 126 horsepower, and 15.9 kgf.m of torque, the Cerato offered solid performance for everyday use.

Initially, the transmission was a six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic, and in 2011, the automatic version was upgraded to six speeds, further enhancing the driving experience.

Although it is not a sports car, the Cerato has always been well-rated for its fuel efficiency, achieving averages of 12.2 km/l on the highway.

Its dimensions also contributed to practical use: with a length of 4.53 m, a width of 1.77 m, and a wheelbase of 2.65 m, the Cerato was compact on the outside but offered a spacious interior.

For comparison, the 2011 Honda City, one of its main competitors, had smaller dimensions, except in the trunk, where the Cerato offered 415 liters of space.

Equipment and Comfort of the Kia Cerato

The equipment list of the Cerato was one of its strong points.

Standard features included air conditioning, front airbags, power windows and locks, power mirrors, a radio with USB and MP3, fog lights, and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Optional features included parking sensors, ABS brakes, digital air conditioning, and leather seats.

Additionally, the higher trims featured more refined finishes that included leather upholstery on the door panels and seats, as well as 16 or 17-inch wheels.

However, over time, Kia consolidated its operations in the country, demonstrating the solidity and quality of its products.

This factor contributed to the growing popularity of the Cerato, which reached a significant milestone in 2011, with over 20,000 units sold.

Tenho um Cerato 2011, melhor carro que já tive, carro confiável, nunca imaginei que o Cerato era assim, comprei agora em maio más se soubesse, teria comprado bem antes.
