The University of São Paulo (USP) is offering hundreds of new spots in free online and distance learning courses aimed at individuals with a completed degree in any course who are interested in studying from home via a computer or smartphone with internet access. Classes will be conducted in the distance learning format, from August 1 to September 2 of this year.
Topics of The Free Online and Distance Learning Courses Offered by USP
In common sense, the word democracy almost boils down to more or less free elections, an ideological distortion of the concept that aims to deceive and imply that in democratic countries, like Brazil, there is indeed democracy when, in fact, its most basic principles, such as equality and freedom, are violated at every corner, particularly in poor neighborhoods.
This same ideological common sense, on the other hand, assumes that in countries where bourgeois parliamentary democracy is absent, like Cuba, there is no democracy. Thus, what the course aims to demonstrate is the historical diversity of the idea which, despite this, has principles that structure it.
