Applications Open for On-Campus Master’s in Education at USP Ribeirão Preto, With Admission Scheduled for 2026, Rules Defined in Specific Announcement, and Requirement for a Project Aligned with the Program’s Research Lines.

The Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters of Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo has opened applications for the selection process of the Master’s in Education, with admission scheduled for the second semester of 2026.

The procedure is conducted by the Graduate Program in Education at FFCLRP-USP and follows the rules published in a specific announcement, which defines deadlines, stages, and evaluation criteria.

Applications must be made exclusively online, within the period stipulated by FFCLRP-USP.

The selection is intended for the on-campus course and is part of the university’s regular master’s training policy.

All official guidelines are available on the program’s and the faculty’s institutional channels, which consolidate announcements and any updates to the schedule.

Announcement for the Master’s in Education at USP Ribeirão Preto

The announcement published by FFCLRP establishes the opening of slots for the formation of a new academic master’s class.

In the informational material associated with the selection, the total announced is 35 slots, including opportunities reserved for affirmative actions.

The confirmation of the exact distribution between regular and surplus slots must be made directly in the official announcement, a document that prevails in case of discrepancies.

In addition to the number of slots, the normative text details eligibility criteria, mandatory documentation, stages of the selection process, and deadlines for appeals and release of results.

Full reading of the announcement is recommended so that the candidate has clarity about all formal requirements before completing the application.

Research Lines of PPGEdu at USP

The Graduate Program in Education at FFCLRP organizes its research into two lines.

The line Philosophical, Scientific, and Cultural Foundations of Education encompasses studies aimed at the theoretical, epistemological, and cultural analysis of educational processes.

The line Public Policies and Organization of Educational Work focuses on investigations related to school education, the management of education systems, and educational policies.

Enrollment in the selection process requires that the research project be clearly linked to one of these lines.

As stipulated in the announcement, this alignment is one of the points considered in the evaluation, as the program assesses the coherence between the proposed theme, the study objectives, and the academic scope of the chosen area.

Who Can Apply for the Master’s at USP

Candidates with a recognized higher education diploma, from both undergraduate and bachelor’s courses, can apply for the selection process.

The announcement also allows participation from students who are in the final phase of their degree, provided they present proof of course completion at the time of enrollment, if approved.

Another requirement is the proof of proficiency in a foreign language.

The announcement indicates the accepted languages and specifies the valid forms of proof, which may include certificates or exams recognized by the program.

Detailed rules, including deadlines and minimum scores, are stated in the official selection document.

Stages of the Selection Process and Evaluation Criteria

Admission to the master’s program occurs through eliminatory and classificatory stages, defined in the PPGEdu announcement.

Among them, evaluations of specific knowledge, analysis of the research project, and review of the candidate’s academic curriculum are included.

In previous selections of the program, part of the stages occurred in person and another part remotely, but the definitive format must be confirmed in the current announcement.

The analysis of the project considers aspects such as clarity of the research problem, methodological consistency, and alignment with the chosen line.

The curriculum evaluation takes into account the candidate’s academic trajectory, according to previously established criteria, with no expectation of subjective analysis beyond what is described in the announcement.

A oral defense in a later phase is also planned, with the call for candidates classified in the initial stages.

The release of the lists of approved and called candidates follows the schedule published by FFCLRP.

Deadlines and How to Follow Official Information

The final deadline for submitting applications is set until 11:59 PM on March 23, 2026.

All subsequent stages, including the application of exams, release of partial results, and enrollment, follow the dates defined in the announcement and in official communications from the unit.

FFCLRP recommends that candidates regularly check the institutional page of the program and the faculty, where notices, corrections, and additional guidelines are published.

Any changes in the schedule or in the stages of the selection process are usually announced exclusively through these channels.

To participate in the selection, the interested party must access the system indicated by FFCLRP, complete the electronic form within the deadline, and attach all the required documentation.
