It is necessary to hold the Seafarer’s Registration Book (CIR) as a 2nd Engineer Officer (2OM) or higher, in addition to a Competency Certificate (STCW) with rules II/1 and II/3. The Technical DP Certificate and other valid maritime certificates are also required.
Candidates must have the Basic Safety Training (BST), the Competency Certificate 1031 (COC), the Advanced Fire Fighting Certificate (ECIA), and the Basic Special Ship Protection Certificate (EBCP).
