Peugeot 208 2025: The Compact Hatchback Renews Style, Mechanics, and Portfolio with Competitive Prices.
The Peugeot in Brazil has announced the prices for the 2025 line of the compact hatchback Peugeot 208, manufactured in Argentina, at the El Palomar plant. The car comes with renewals in both style and mechanics, and its portfolio, with prices starting at R$ 77,000. The highlights include a more accessible price compared to the 2024 line, with a reduction of up to R$ 15,000 in prices, depending on the version. This means that the new 208 is being offered at prices similar to those of 2023, before the last increases.
Versions and Prices of the 2025 Peugeot 208 Line
The 2025 Peugeot 208 line presents four versions, with different configurations and equipment packages.
The entry-level version, called Peugeot 208 Active 1.0 MT, costs R$ 76,999. This version comes equipped with digital air conditioning, Hill Assist (hill start assist), power windows, and four airbags, items that enhance the comfort and safety of the model.

The second version, the Peugeot 208 Style 1.0 MT, is priced at R$ 88,999 and adds Full LED headlights, a 10.3-inch multimedia center, a rearview camera, and a panoramic sunroof, delivering more technology and entertainment features to the driver.
The intermediate version, the Peugeot 208 Allure Turbo 200 CVT, costs R$ 98,990.
It is the first in the lineup to bring Stellantis’ T200 engine, a 1.0 turbo three-cylinder that generates 130 hp and 20.4 kgfm of torque, combined with a CVT (continuously variable transmission) that simulates seven gears.
This engine offers a sportier and more agile performance for those seeking greater power.
Finally, the top-of-the-line is the Peugeot 208 GT Turbo 200 CV, priced at R$ 114,990.
In addition to the T200 engine, this version features a sportier look and includes six airbags, as well as driver assistance features (ADAS), such as collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and a rearview camera with a 180° view.
Renewed Design and Portfolio Changes
Regarding design, the Peugeot 208 2025 features some subtle updates, aligning the model with the more current design language of the French brand.
Among the updates are minor changes to the shape of the headlights and taillights, both in LED, as well as a new front grille.
Another change is the replacement of the old “pouncing” lion emblem with the traditional Peugeot shield, highlighting the silhouette of the feline’s head, bringing a more classic touch to the look.
On the side, the model has gained 17-inch diamond-cut wheels, with glossy black details on the wheel arches, enhancing the modern and sporty appearance.
These changes reinforce the proposal of a car that combines style, performance, and economy.
Another significant change was mechanical: Peugeot decided to retire the old 1.6 EC5 engine, which no longer met current consumption and pollutant emission requirements from Inmetro and Proconve L7.
This engine, which was still present in the Active model at the beginning of 2024, is no longer available in the 2025 line portfolio.
Now, all versions use the Stellantis 1.0 engine, either the aspirated Firefly with 71/75 hp and 10/10.7 kgfm (gasoline/ethanol), or the turbo T200 engine.
The acceleration of the 208 GT Turbo, according to Peugeot, goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds, reinforcing the sporty proposal of the most powerful version in the lineup.
Technology and Connectivity in the Cabin
The interior of the Peugeot 208 2025 continues to offer what the brand calls i-Cockpit, a design concept that includes a smaller steering wheel, positioned lower than the industry standard, and an elevated instrument panel that simulates a head-up display.
This combination promises a more engaging driving experience, allowing the driver to visualize all information without taking their eyes off the road.
In terms of technology, the 2025 208 offers a 10-inch multimedia center, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with wireless connectivity, as well as Bluetooth and a 15W wireless phone charger.
These features ensure practicality and connectivity for users.
In the Allure and GT versions, there is also digital and automatic air conditioning, a keyless entry system that allows unlocking the car without the need for a key, and illuminated vanity mirrors. These items emphasize comfort and focus on convenience in daily use.
Highlights of the Peugeot 208 for Consumers
The color of the car is also an element that attracts buyers, and Peugeot maintains known colors in the 2025 line, such as Banquise White, Nacre White, Pearl Black, and Artense Gray, in addition to the new Selenium Gray color.
There is no information on the additional cost for colors, but in the 2024 line, they cost R$ 1,950, except for black.
The reintroduction of the combustion GT version, which was previously exclusive to the electric configuration (e-208 GT), marks a new phase for the 2025 Peugeot 208 line.
As a result, the Griffe configuration, traditionally associated with refinement, has been temporarily discontinued.
With these adjustments to the portfolio, the Peugeot 208 2025 can consolidate its position in the Brazilian market, offering a combination of updated design, technology, and more competitive prices.
