The armor program from Volkswagen, known as Armor Vale+, features a ballistic level III-A.
This level is the highest permitted for civilian vehicles and can withstand gunfire from weapons such as Magnum revolvers.
44 and Uzi submachine guns. The armor is designed to protect both the passenger compartment and the windows, ensuring comprehensive protection against armed threats.
Currently, Volkswagen provides limited information about the program. However, it is already possible to access the program’s website for additional details and pricing.
The brand has not yet disclosed all prices for all armored models, but the prices already announced reveal a range that varies depending on the model and version of the vehicle.
Prices and Available Volkswagen Models
Regarding prices, Volkswagen revealed that the armor for the Amarok, for example, costs R$ 85,500, in addition to the base price of the pickup, which starts at R$ 309,990. This means that the total cost of the armored Amarok can reach significant values, depending on the chosen version. Below are the prices for the armored versions of the Amarok:
Comfortline: R$ 395,490, Highline: R$ 414,490, Extreme: R$ 436,490, Extreme Hero: R$ 436,490, and Extreme Dark: R$ 438,040.
For other models, such as the single cab Saveiro, the armor starts at R$ 64,000. This price is additional to the vehicle’s value, which starts at R$ 101,990. Popular models like the T-Cross, Nivus, and Virtus will have their own armor prices, which may be somewhat higher.
How Does Factory Armor Work?
The armor offered by Volkswagen is carried out in partnership with two specialized companies: VRZ and Hi-Tech.
These companies are responsible for installing the ballistic protection on the vehicles. One of the main benefits of this partnership is that the vehicle warranty is preserved even after the armor installation.
The warranty for the opaque parts of the passenger compartment is 10 years, while the armored windows have a warranty of 6 years. These warranties are valid from the date of vehicle purchase.
Customers interested in purchasing an armored vehicle can make the purchase at any Volkswagen dealership in Brazil and request the armor at the time of purchase.
The delivery of the armored vehicle is made at the same dealership where the purchase was made. The estimated delivery time for the armored vehicle is about 40 days after the necessary documentation is submitted.
Volkswagen Initiative
The introduction of the Armor Vale+ program by Volkswagen represents a significant advancement in the offer of security for its customers.
With the possibility of armoring almost the entire line of vehicles from the brand, Volkswagen aims to meet the growing demand for additional protection, offering a convenient and reliable solution.
The III-A ballistic protection level ensures that vehicles can withstand serious threats, providing customers with greater security and peace of mind.
