About The Federal Institute Of Minas Gerais: Public, Free And Quality Education

Founded by Law No. 11,892 in 2008, the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Minas Gerais (IFMG) comprises 18 operational campuses and others in the implementation phase, spread across various cities in the state.

Among them, Bambuí, Ouro Preto, Ribeirão das Neves, Governador Valadares, Sabará, and Santa Luzia stand out. The Rectorate is located in Belo Horizonte.

IFMG offers more than 70 courses including technical, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs. Half of the spots are allocated to Integrated Technical High School, and the undergraduate courses emphasize engineering, technological bachelor’s degrees, and teaching degrees.
