Project Receives Environmental License from Inema in Bahia, Natural Gas Production in Recôncavo and Sales Expected to Start in January 2020
With a two-month delay, Alvopetro has received the environmental licenses from the Institute of Environment and Water Resources (INEMA) of Bahia and can now begin construction of the Caburé gas pipeline and UPGN facilities.
The information was released yesterday, on Friday (05/10), by the company along with the statement that the delay in issuing the licenses caused a two-month setback in the construction of the project.
The project consists of an 11 km gas pipeline in Caburé, in the Recôncavo basin, which will transport the production from the field to a natural gas processing unit (UPGN), which is the responsibility of the construction company Enerflex.

Enerflex will be the operator of the pipeline and facilities, whose primary equipment has already been assembled and tested abroad, but has not yet been sent to the location, which has so far received only the pipes for manufacturing the pipelines.
The Caburé Field
The natural gas asset in Recôncavo was acquired by Alvopetro in partnership with Imetame, which holds 50.9%. The owners plan to drill three or four more development wells.
Bahiagás has acquired the right to market the gas, which is expected to start, according to the new schedule, in January 2020.
Alvopetro’s portfolio in the Recôncavo Basin includes a 49.1% interest in the Caburé field, full ownership of Gomo, and 65% of the concessions REC-T-57, REC-T-62, REC-T-71, and REC-T-145 in partnership with Suez.
The company achieved production of 11 boe/day in the fourth quarter of last year.
