Brazilian Air Force (FAB) Has Hundreds of New Vacancies Without Competition. These Are Unique Opportunities With Salaries That Can Exceed R$ 5 Thousand.
The command of the Air Force started on Monday (October 16, 2023) the selection process for Calling and Incorporating Professionals with a High School Level for voluntary and paid military service on a temporary basis, which may last a maximum of 8 years. These are vacancies without competition from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).
Requirements for Vacancies Without Competition from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB)
The salary, which is the basic portion of a military’s pay concerning a third sergeant of the Brazilian Air Force, regardless of being temporary or not, is currently R$ 3,825. Adding in additional benefits, the gross salary rises to an average of R$ 5,699.25.
After standard deductions, the military will receive, monthly, an amount in the range of R$ 4,530. The salary is equivalent to what military personnel of the same rank receive in the three Armed Forces: Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Among the requirements for participation in the vacancies without competition from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) are:
- Be a natural-born Brazilian;
- Be at least 18 years old by the date of incorporation, and not have turned 41 years old by the date of incorporation;
- Be a volunteer;
- Meet the specific requirements needed for the desired professional area, as outlined in Annex E of the Notice;
If being a former military or active military, have not completed 73 months of effective service in any of the Armed Forces, continuous or not, considering any type of Military Service (initial, extension, internships, extensions, and others) up to the date of incorporation. Vacancies without competition for technical positions will be distributed in various areas of interest of COMAER, as provided in the Notice.

Applications must be made online by November 14. To apply for opportunities at the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), it will be necessary to register using full name, date of birth, CPF, Gender, Address, among other important data.
The salary of military personnel is often cited as being below what they should receive as graduated military and specialties requiring external training.
The salary that approved candidates in the vacancies without competition at FAB will receive will be equivalent to that of a third sergeant.
According to Portaria COMGEP No. 135/1SC, of March 22, 2021, temporary military personnel in voluntary service will receive, starting from the completion of the first stage of the adaptation internship or equivalent, the Qualification Bonus corresponding to the training or type of course considered mandatory in the present selection process.
