Company Will Present Innovative Solutions, Such as the Lowest CO2 Equivalent Emission Steel on the Market
The 20th edition of the largest oil and gas industry event in Latin America, Rio Oil & Gas, will feature the participation of Vallourec, which is among the world’s leaders in premium tubular solutions, primarily serving the energy markets (oil and gas, power generation).
From September 26 to 29, at the Boulevard Olímpico, possibilities to explore new paths in energy with innovation and sustainability will be discussed through a congress, exhibition, and parallel events. For the first time, the event will be in a hybrid format.
“Vallourec plays a strategic role in supplying essential sectors of the Brazilian and global economy, and our Group’s commitment is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2025, compared to 2017. During the four days of the event, we will showcase a selection of innovative solutions developed from the sustainable use of natural resources that produce the lowest CO2 equivalent emission steel on the market. As a result, we contribute to improving our clients’ performance concerning the sustainability of their businesses,” emphasizes Pierre d’Archemont, Senior Vice President of Vallourec South America.

Vallourec will also showcase its revolutionary and unique technology for producing high-quality sustainable charcoal through a continuous vertical reactor, fully automated, capable of maximizing the energy potential contained in the forest. This reactor has zero methane emissions, complying with sustainability requirements and adhering to greenhouse gas reduction strategies.
The entire process begins in Vallourec’s renewable eucalyptus forests: here, the wood is planted, cultivated, and harvested in processes and practices certified by internationally recognized bodies.
The Vallourec booth will be at Warehouse 5, H21.
