The company will present innovative solutions, such as the steel with the lowest CO2 equivalent emissions on the market

The 20th edition of the biggest oil and gas industry event in Latin America, Rio Oil & Gas, will feature Vallourec, which is among the world leaders in premium tubular solutions, operating mainly in the energy markets (oil and gas, power generation).

Between the 26th and 29th of September, on the Olympic Boulevard, the possibilities for breaking new ground in energy with innovation and sustainability will be discussed through a congress, exhibition and parallel events. For the first time, the event will be in hybrid format.

During the four days of the event, we will present a selection of solutions innovative, made from the sustainable use of natural resources and that produce the lowest CO2 equivalent emission steel on the market. As a result, we contribute to improving the performance of our customers with regard to the sustainability of their businesses,” emphasizes Pierre d'Archemont, senior vice president of Vallourec South America.

Vallourec will also showcase its revolutionary and unique technology for the production of high-quality sustainable charcoal, using a vertical continuous reactor, completely automated, capable of taking full advantage of the potential of the energy contained in the forest. This reactor has zero methane emissions, being compatible with sustainability requirements and adhering to greenhouse gas reduction strategies.

The whole process begins in the renewable eucalyptus forests at the Vallourec Forestry unit: where the wood is planted, cultivated and harvested using processes and practices certified by internationally recognized bodies.
