With investments of around R$ 14.7 billion, Suzano’s factory will have the capacity to produce 2.55 Mt/year of pulp in a single line!
Veolia Water Technologies won the bid for the construction of the effluent treatment station at the new factory that Suzano is building in Ribas do Rio Pardo. Suzano is a Brazilian group focused on the production of Paper and Pulp. It is the world’s largest producer of Eucalyptus Pulp and one of the top 10 market pulp producers.
This new project by Suzano is scheduled to start in the second half of 2024. The project will have the capacity to produce 2.55 Mt/year of Bleached Eucalyptus Pulp, in a single line. The industrial investment will be around R$ 14.7 billion.
Veolia Water Technologies will treat the liquid effluents generated to meet the stringent local legislation.

With 55 floors, 177 meters in height, a 15-meter walkway between the twin towers, ventilated facade, and 6,300 m² of leisure space, Ápice Towers already has one tower completed and another nearly at the top.
The treatment will consist of four phases, as follows:
- Primary Treatment
- Secondary Treatment (MBBR + Activated Sludge)
- Sludge Dehydration
- Inorganic Treatment
With the challenge of providing a reliable and competitive technology, as the startup/operation of the factory directly depends on the perfect performance of the ETE, VWT will utilize BAS technology, which comprises a biological process made up of two phases, MBBR + Activated Sludge. With multiple references in operation, this technology offers: high reliability, lower civil construction costs, and proven efficiency.
The treatment capacity is 8,050 m3/h (process flow).
