Vibra Energia Bets on Outdoor Cinema, Focusing on Renewable Diesel and Carbon Emission Neutralization, Merging Entertainment and Sustainability.
The new edition of Vibra Open Air, lighting up the skies of Rio this Wednesday, has a different shine: sustainability. This edition, sponsored by Vibra Energia, will not only showcase films under the stars but also illuminate the path to a greener future. Returning to its roots at the Jockey Club of Rio de Janeiro between October 4 and 22, the initiative is more than just a cinematic event. It’s a statement.
A Green Revolution at the Heart of the Event
-

-
Tax reform advances in Brazil and places the oil and gas sector at the center of strategic discussions at the IV Seminar on Taxation in Oil and Gas 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, focusing on IBS, fiscal impacts, and business repositioning.
-
Brazilian city bets on the business environment to generate jobs and attract investments in the energy sector — secretary reveals strategy at Macaé Energy 2026.
-
The largest South American oil company, Petrobras, is preparing for a historic leap in production with new FPSO platforms and the expansion of refining — projects that could add up to 900,000 barrels per day and strengthen Brazil’s energy security.
The sound and visual effects will be powered by the revolutionary Vibra Renewable Diesel HVO10, reducing the carbon footprint compared to traditional diesel. This is a giant step towards truly sustainable entertainment, making Vibra Open Air unique in its category. In collaboration with Comerc Energia, the event will also neutralize CO²e emissions by acquiring carbon credits from environmentally conscious projects.
“We are committed to redefining entertainment with ecological awareness. We believe that every film shown can be a beacon for a greener future”, reflects Vanessa Gordilho, Vice President of Business and Marketing at Vibra.
The Science Behind the Innovation
The magic of Vibra Renewable Diesel HVO10 goes beyond the screen. Derived from waste and vegetable oils, this biofuel offers performance comparable to regular diesel without requiring modifications to equipment. Moreover, by 2026, Vibra plans to market this locally produced green diesel, solidifying its commitment to Brazil’s energy future.
Neutralizing the Carbon Footprint, Together
Comerc Energia, in tune with Vibra, meticulously evaluates the event’s emissions. With QR Codes spread throughout the Jockey Club, visitors are invited to share details of their journeys, allowing for the exact neutralization of their carbon footprints. This is just one example of the numerous strategies implemented to ensure an ecologically responsible event.
Experience Beyond the Screen
In a lounge designed by the agency SuperUber, visitors connect with the essence of Vibra. Sensors capture the pulse, creating unique visual projections. Additionally, the hashtag #EuNoVibraOpenAir allows viewers to see themselves in a mosaic on the main screen, making the experience more interactive.
From October 4 to 22, the Jockey Club Brasileiro will resonate with films, music, and parties. The giant screen of 325m², which is an attraction in itself, will rise using energy from Vibra Renewable Diesel HVO10, making each projection a tribute to sustainability.
