Vibra Energia: Investment in Clean Energy and Sustainable Development
He highlights that the paths presented at the 28th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP28), in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, point to a slowdown in consumption of fossil fuels.
'That calendar [from decarbonisation] tends to accelerate, COP28 is increasingly showing this path. And this slowdown in the use of fossil fuels will happen over the next few years. Fossil fuel will be with us for a long time yet, but we will see it growing more and more renewable energy', stated the CEO, during his participation in the opening panel of the seminar The Future of Energy Comes from Vibra, organized by epbr agency (Check out the full coverage above).
According to Pousada, the company invested approximately R$4 billion in energy transition in the last years.
Vibra has dedicated itself to building a multi-energy platform, aiming to diversify its product portfolio, in line with the change in consumer behavior on the part of customers.
He highlighted examples of this movement, such as the acquisition of 50% of Trade, which has an installed capacity of 1,6 GW of solar and wind energy; from the ZEG Biogas, focusing on the production of biomethane; the formation of Evolve Ethanol, One j with Copersucar to sell ethanol; and the company's entry into the vehicle recharge, through EZVolt.
Commitment to Decarbonization and Renewable Energy
‘We are fully committed to this, we recognize the importance of COP28. COP30, which will be held in Brazil, will also be crucial and we intend to accelerate, increasingly expanding our plans and offering alternatives for all our customers to reduce carbon emission', emphasized Ernesto Pousada. Thus demonstrating the commitment of Vibra Energy with decarbonization and the promotion of clean energy.
