On October 18 and 19, the VII National Congress of Maritime, Port, and Customs Law will take place in the city of São Paulo, organized by the São Paulo section of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/SP). This is the main thematic event in the country, held annually since 2012.
Since its inception, the Congress has become a reference not only for the legal field but also for civil society and other institutions in Brazil.

The General Director of Antaq, Mario Povia, the President of the National Federation of Port Operators (Fenop), Sergio Aquino, the Prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Navy (PEM), José Siqueira, the Operational Advisor of the São Paulo Pilotage Directorate, Viriato do Nascimento Geraldes, and Fabio Ulhoa Coelho, a lawyer and full professor of Commercial Law at PUC-SP, are confirmed attendees at the event.
According to Luiz Enrique Pereira, President of the Special Commission on Maritime and Port Law at OAB/SP, the congress will stimulate the study and academic and professional debate of current studies in Maritime, Port, and Customs Law.
