Electric SUV on Shopee? Meet the VF 3, model from the Vietnamese brand VinFast, which promises a range of 285 km and several technologies for under R$ 50 thousand.
The growing acceptance of electric cars is becoming a reality, driven by recent announcements of affordable models. The Vietnamese automaker VinFast brings a new electric SUV to the market available on Shopee, which promises to revolutionize the segment. With a strictly urban proposal, the model is designed to attract a younger audience and could become a major success.
New Electric SUV on Shopee Stirs Market in Its Home Country
The VinFast model is an extremely compact electric SUV, measuring 3.19 meters, almost the same size as the Caoa Chery iCar, which is 3.20 m. The difference with the SUV is that it can be purchased online, via Shopee, for around R$ 48 thousand. That’s the idea behind the VinFast VF 3.
It is worth mentioning that VinFast is a manufacturer from Vietnam, and VF 3 is the name of the car. Due to its affordable price and a number of other reasons, this electric SUV on Shopee has stirred the car market in its home country. And now it seeks to conquer the world in a curious way: being sold through Shopee.

The new electric SUV from VinFast was initially revealed earlier this year at CES, the annual trade show for new technologies and trends held in Las Vegas (USA). The electric SUV costs 235 million Vietnamese dong, which directly converts to about R$ 47,400, but without the batteries. With them included, the price rises to 315 million dong, something close to R$ 63,500 when converted to our currency.
VinFast Electric SUV Delivers Up to 285 km of Range
With a size similar to the Caoa Chery iCar, the little SUV boasts an impressive 550 liters of trunk space when the rear seats are folded down. It is clear from the design that there is a choice to be made for the rear: you can either carry luggage or passengers. There are only two doors, as one might expect. However, there is a good equipment package in the cabin, including a 10-inch multimedia center with CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new electric SUV on Shopee has yet to reveal its technical data regarding the engine, as it is still in the debut phase. However, VinFast has stated that it will have an estimated range of 285 km on the Chinese cycle, which is quite generous, or 237 km on the European WLTP, which is a bit more stringent and a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
The proposal behind the VinFast model, therefore, is for a predominantly urban vehicle that promises to be successful. Just in its home country, there were almost 28 thousand orders in just over two days. More than 50% of them online.
VinFast Comments on Its Electric SUV Available on Shopee
According to Duke Hale, a consultant for the Vietnamese brand, around 100 dealers have shown interest in selling the electric SUV, largely due to its very aggressive price. For Hale, the dealers liked the entire lineup, but the VF 3 received almost a 100% response rate. They really liked the model, and the reason is likely its price below US$ 20 thousand.

More importantly, it is providing a new companion for a generation of young drivers, who value practicality alongside personality.
